I'm a science geek. I have a master's degree in astrophysics and am currently employed as an editor at the Dutch edition of New Scientist magazine.

Because of my love for television and movies, I also sometimes - not that often, recently - 'work' on the side as an internet movie and television critic (read my 'Buffy' overview review - in dutch - here and my review of (and story on) 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' here).

Also, I blog about the scientific concepts behind (science fiction) movies on scinetific.nl. (Once again, though, this is all in Dutch).

On an unrelated note, I play and teach volleybal. And oh yes: I'm the llama on the Serenity DVD-cover. (no I'm not)
