The Boldly Go Sci Fi Blog shares some Firefly related thoughts. "Am I the last geek on earth to watch Firefly?"

We got another convert!
This was cute. Thanks, killinj, for posting.
Yeah, thanks killinj, that was great!
Hee, that was great. It never seizes to amaze me how many people get the show once they see it. This is why I still have great hopes for Serenity becoming a Darko-esque cult hit in the years to come. Great writing, characters and storytelling just win out in the end.

(Yes, I'm feeling optimistic today ;-))
Ah, that was nice and funny.

Glad to see that there are still new people digging the 'verse.
That was a great piece! It's funny how many things I can and do relate to the Jossverse. Gorram has become a part of my language.
If you read the comments, you'll notice there's several new converts. Yes, this is a show that still has a growing fan base, and seems to not be slowing down at all. Loved the article, especially the bit about the esculator and looking for Reavers!
It made me smile, too. Every time SciFi does a marathon, a few more converts appear, I'm sure. Someone posted elsewhere very recently that while Serenity sales have dropped, Firefly sales still remain up on the online sales charts. Could these new converts be the reason?

And oh yeah. Star Raiders? At first I thought that was a joke but then remembered I wasn't reading on Whedonesque. Ahem.
So with such high sales, where's our super-deluxe, 5.1 surround, super-duper transfer with commentary on every ep by every cast member and writer and director? Huh? Where?

ETA: Speaking of sound, does anybody find that with Dolby 2.0 tracks thay have to turn up the volume louder than should be necessary to hear it? Or is that just me?

you know you've watched too much firefly when...
***you start listening to country music. (especially if you've listened to Rock all your life)
***you start reading the Firefly comic books when you refused to read them because of their anti-feminism content
***You put off a ten page paper in order to re-watch the episode because you cant remember if it was "leaf ON the wind" or "leaf IN the wind"
Sania Delian...the Serenity comics were anti-feminist?
For that matter, something that Joss did, in general, was anti-feminist? Colour me surprised too ;-).
Great to hear of the continuing wave of Firefly conversions. DVDs are a great invention--and as I write that, I tremble in apprehension of the wave of confusion coming as we try to figure out whether to go with blu-ray or hd, or whatever the heck the next media config may be--but I guess I'd better think about that tomorrow, possibly at Tara.
See I thought Sania meant that comic books in general were anti-feminist but not the Serenity comics. Maybe?
