Official: 'Day Break' and 'Brothers and Sisters' get picked up by ABC. Jeff Bell's new show which stars Adam Baldwin (seemingly best known for his guest stint in NCIS) looks to air mid-season. However Marti Noxon's latest show will air this Fall on Sundays at 10pm. Update: In other news, Veronica Mars got renewed.

Fox will announce its schedule on Thursday so we may get word one way or another about what going on with Tim Minear's 'Drive'.

The CW's schedule is also out on Thursday so Smallville fans will found out the fate of that show.

Tim, I doubt Drive will be mentioned as the pilot hasn't been shot yet. Edit: Except you are Simon.

I'm interested in Marti's show - it sounds very Wonderfalls!

*grumbling & grousing* They are killing me. Moving "Grey's Anatomy" to go up against Sorkin's "Studio 60." TGFT (Thank God For Tivo.) But hey, can't wait to check out Marti's and Adam's new shows! Crap to the PR flacks who obviously haven't seen Adam in "The X-Files", "Angel", "Full Metal Jacket" (for crying out loud!) and oh, another little big-screen feature called "Serenity." Morons.
Edit: Except you are Simon

Yeah I kinda knew that.

In a semi related topic, I really recommend Bill Carter's "Desperate Networks". Excellent book which has a behind the scenes look at the major players in the US networks, loads of interesting info about how a show is picked up and a great overview of the last few years in American television.
While it's great Adam Baldwin (who is also well-known for being a guest star on "Bones"....among other things) will be back on TV, I don't know if the idea of a framed guy having to relive the day over and over is going to last for long. We're going to have the same plot for five years? I'm not sure this will work.
As for VM, there's some buzz from aint-it-cool.com she'll get a reduced season of 13 episodes
Veronica Mars got renewed so I added the relevant link to the subject line.
Good on Veronica!
Thanks for the book recommendation, Simon. That sounds very interesting!
I think scheduling Marti Noxon's new show after Desperate Housewifes is a sign that ABC has confidence in the show.
Veronica Mars renewed! WooHoo!!! *does a happy dance*

I had the same thought, but I would think that he could start changing the day right at the beginning so that the day is different or mostly different each time. The thing that would wear thin for me I think, is that since it is a TV show it can never be resolved. It will always have to end with the same result each episode. It will be a hard line to walk to keep it from seeming pointless or hopeless.
Well, congratulations to all the people in all our 'Verses who have new shows, and it's awesome news about VM, too! :-)
