If you're talking about Wesley's gadget in (I think it was) Spin the Bottle, I seem to recall from the commentary that it was CG. The part where it unfolded anyway, between the poking out of the sleeve and fully extended lopping off limbs stage. Pitty, that. The prop makers were clearly geniuses on that show, but they only had so much time to get everything ready for each episode.

I was just reading the script from Spin the Bottle and Joss had a clear idea of what would be real and what would be CGI - it depended on what he wanted the effect to be and some he obviously knew could not be actually done.

Why? With a bit of searching you can probably find something just like it at your local Pottery Barn, Ikea, garage sales, flea markets, etc...If it isn't the exact color, could always just get some proper paint and make one.

Instead of paying whatever undoubtably obscene price they'll be asking for this just because it'll be carrying an "Official" tag.

Hey did the Orb Of Thessulah light up? I'd consider buying one of those some day if they could get a little light inside (but one that can't be clearly seen through the ball's crystal when it's "off").

I'd still like the Slayer Scythe (still can't get over how unbelievably cool it was to have that go from an idea in Joss' head, to a drawing in Fray, to a prop on Buffy, to an actual replica that you can buy) and maybe one or two of the swords that've been released, just don't have anywhere to display that sort of thing at the moment.

It's pretty much a) for the cool factor and b) for the nerd cool factor, combined with spending tons of money for something that looks like its from Pottery Barn. And the extra $10 is for the little paper namecard you get remind you which episode it's from...as if you needed a reminder.

Probably because it IS the easiest to make. I wonder what the mark up will be?

Was there ever a replica of Anya's necklace from "The Wish"?

It might be the easiest to make, but it sure isn't the biggest thing on demand. I'm sure they realize this though, and possibly want to see some results -- testing the water, so to speak -- to gauge whether fans will really want this stuff.

I want a sword.

Yes, they made Anyas necklace, it's still available from T&ST, and not horribly expensive - about thirty bucks, I think.

The only prop replica I have is the hollow Vampyr book - it looks cool and I can use it to keep all of my Buffy/Angel figure accessories in one place.

I'd love to see a replica of Mr. Gordo or Buffy's Class Protector umbrella. The Slayer scythe, though, would also be pretty neat.

Uh, guys? A little OT here, but doesn't this kinda tie in with the SupportSpike campaign? I know that Fox has all kinds of depts. and fiefdoms and all, and that they might not talk to each other much (if at all), but wouldn't it be efficacious to point out in the postcard campaign that the marketing of all things 'verse is still profitable?

As for props I would like--Hyperion Hotel towels sound cool. Also Mr. Gordo, Anya's necklace, Spike's amulet from Chosen. And was there a Spikebot? No?? Could there be? Please?
