That AXM cover is hysterical, who knew Cassaday could do the funny?
Mmm, Stan Lee's magical pixie dust, coming soon to a street corner near you.
Yay, AXM goes monthly in September. Been a long wait.

These stand-alones sound like they might be pretty cool too. Worth a look.
Wolverine with those manipulative Bugs Bunny "please don't shoot me, sir!" eyes.... priceless!
I was wondering if Astonishing would actually go monthly in September as previously rumored. I hope it holds up.

I can't believe Warsong is "in continuity" and still features Emma as part of the team. I wish they'd wait until Joss' run was finished for mini series like that.

And does anyone know who that robot-looking woman behind Cable on the X-Men cover is supposed to be?

Well, Issue 15's out this week so 16 should be in August which means if 17's out in September it must be monthly surely ?

(would anyone be amazed if it got delayed though ? Not exactly an unusual occurance - though slightly annoying. Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk, i'm looking at you ;)
That Astonishing cover is just... there are no words. :-D

"I can't believe Warsong is "in continuity" and still features Emma as part of the team. I wish they'd wait until Joss' run was finished for mini series like that."

Could be it takes place before 'Torn' (though I admit I doubt it). But you'll always interrupt *someone's* run if you do miniseries like that.

"And does anyone know who that robot-looking woman behind Cable on the X-Men cover is supposed to be?"

Not sure--the robotty suit could be a spacesuit. Could be Lila Cheney, I guess. She is/was recently dating Sam, and he does *seem* to be looking at her breasts on that cover. I'm sure the farmboy's eyes wouldn't stray to someone other than his girlfriend. :-P

I think Greg Pak does areally good job of fusing the Morrison and Whedon content, I was kind of surprised he didn't get any X-title of his own yet actually.

And though it's unlikely, there's still the slight possibility that the Warsong miniseries takes place soon after the Endsong one and could be set in what is now the past.

Also, that Astonishing cover... heh. Words cannot convey how I feel about that.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if Astonishing continues after Joss is done, Pak will take over. (Though I wouldn't mind seeing the book end post-Joss, either--we could do with a 'core' book less.) Endsong was terrific in keeping the tone of Astonishing.
When is the "Stan Lee meets..." series going to be released? I didn't see dates.
As great as that hilarious Astonishing cover is, that Stan Lee Meets Spider-Man cover annihilates based purely on good old-fashioned heartwarming nostalgia.

Especially now that Spidey !
