These stand-alones sound like they might be pretty cool too. Worth a look.

I can't believe Warsong is "in continuity" and still features Emma as part of the team. I wish they'd wait until Joss' run was finished for mini series like that.
And does anyone know who that robot-looking woman behind Cable on the X-Men cover is supposed to be?

(would anyone be amazed if it got delayed though ? Not exactly an unusual occurance - though slightly annoying. Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk, i'm looking at you ;)

"I can't believe Warsong is "in continuity" and still features Emma as part of the team. I wish they'd wait until Joss' run was finished for mini series like that."
Could be it takes place before 'Torn' (though I admit I doubt it). But you'll always interrupt *someone's* run if you do miniseries like that.
"And does anyone know who that robot-looking woman behind Cable on the X-Men cover is supposed to be?"
Not sure--the robotty suit could be a spacesuit. Could be Lila Cheney, I guess. She is/was recently dating Sam, and he does *seem* to be looking at her breasts on that cover. I'm sure the farmboy's eyes wouldn't stray to someone other than his girlfriend. :-P

And though it's unlikely, there's still the slight possibility that the Warsong miniseries takes place soon after the Endsong one and could be set in what is now the past.
Also, that Astonishing cover... heh. Words cannot convey how I feel about that.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if Astonishing continues after Joss is done, Pak will take over. (Though I wouldn't mind seeing the book end post-Joss, either--we could do with a 'core' book less.) Endsong was terrific in keeping the tone of Astonishing.

Especially now that Spidey has unmasked himself to the world!
