"Dark Horse 20 Years" comic book out this week. A celebratory issue (hey it's only 25 cents!) which amongst other things has Joss making his artistic debut with his take on 'Emily The Strange'.

I shall be buying this in approximately 1 to 2 hours.
3.5 to 4 hours for me. :-)

Really looking forward to seeing who everyone else drew for it.
Yup, have it now. Funny thing--I also got (among way too many other things) the Hack/Slash: Slice Hard preview book, and one of the character designs in the back had a note with it that read:
Sorta "Summer Glau"

I didn't actually see much of a likeness, but still, of the awesome.
For everyone attending Comic-Con. The Browncoat Tables at A11 and A12 will have a couple hundred of these for sale. Just in case you can wait to pick one up.
My local comic book store only ordered one (1!) copy of the anniversary issue (it was a mistake, he meant to get 100, he said) but I've gone ahead and ordered ten copies from Midtowncomics, they always have what I need.
I liked the Fray sketch in the issue. Joss' drawing was surreally great. One day I'd like to find out how he approached it.
How Joss approached it? By putting as many Doctor Strange references in the drawing as possible, obviously. The Dread Cat Dormammu is awesome.
So, who'd like to tell me where I can order this from in England? Or do I actually have to brave a comic shop?
You can order it from forbidden planet but seeing as it's only 15p I'd recommend just popping in somewhere (if you have anywhere local) and picking up a copy.
Can anyone offer a quicky summary of who Emily the Strange is? I've heard of Dr. Strange, I think...
I went into my local comicbook store today to pick up a copy and when I went up to pay for it, the owner of the shop reached back, got something and said "Your Angel script 2 came in and I thought you would want this too" and he pulled out the Dark Horse celebratory issue. I had to face it then and there. I have a local comic book store and the owner sets aside stuff he knows I'll want.
I am a nerd.

I can't tell you about story, but if you saw the image (Images Google search?) of what she looks like, it would probably ring a bell. HTH! :-)
Join the club, Lioness. Not only do I have a comic book store, but I have a box at that store! They accidentally gave me the slip of paper with my requests on it one day and it said "anything to do with Joss Wedon", so I added the 'h' ;-). I did ask for this one on order so expect I look forward to picking it up on the weekend.

Welcome to our proud and illustrious secret society! :-D

Seriously, though, I've heard this sort of story a couple of times now on Whedonesque, and I'm glad we're slowly getting rid of the myth of the Simpsons-style Comic Book Guy. I'm sure those still exist, too, but most comic shop guys I've met are very friendly people.

Simon, you wouldn't per chance be able to tell me where you picked up the comic if it was in Belfast? Should I head to Forbidden Planet? I'm a bit of a novice at finding my way around the shop but I would definitely like to get this.
