Done the Impossible finished! The fan documentary on the Browncoats DVD is finally ready, and will begin shipping in 7-14 days (after the 11th).

After one year in production, including numerous delays, the impossible has been done. The wait will definitely be worth it, there will be countless special features and extras included.

Gotta love that cover image... Earth wearing a Jayne hat. Classic. ;-)
Yep, I just got an e-mail confirming my order. I'll be getting the DVD, plus the bundle of bonus-DVDs offered back then. The documentary DVD itself still sounds absolutely amazing, with an absurd amount of extra's. I'm looking forward to receiving this and very glad that it'll be shipping soon.

And yes, that cover looks great. Can't wait!
Same here... It took its sweet time alright, but hopefully it will be worth it. And yes, that cover is great. Maybe Universal should look at hiring whoever made that cover, cause they seem to need some assistance you know.
I have seen and early version of this and it is awesome. I know they have added a ton more since I saw it. You will not be disappointed. They took some extra time and did it right. It will be worth the wait!
Wow, cutting it close, huh? :~D This is the same thing that will be shown at Comic-Con next week, right?
Got my confirmation email today, too, and I must say that I can't wait for this. From the specs list alone, I think it looks great.

Bravo to the creators for all of their hard work. I'm sure the wait will prove well worth it.
According to the news item on their website, yes it will be shown at Comic-Con.

I preordered mine last September. ;-) I'm getting the bonus DVDs as well, yay!
Still can't afford it, or, well, anything really. Someone buy me one. ;)
Awesome! I've been wondering when we were going to hear this announcement. :)
Unbelievable. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that cover. I can't believe it. It's the most insane thing I've ever seen!

I love it!
What? OK. Then I'll be the first to say it:

Squeeeeeeeeeeee!

There. Now is the time to go camp out by the mailbox.
: )
Great cover, btw.

> Maybe Universal should look at hiring whoever made that cover,...

Thanks for the compliments on the cover, it was a middle of the night sleep deprived stroke of inspiration from Jared.

I'm all for helping out Universal with their covers, but I'm more interested in documenting Joss' next big thing (Wonder Woman?). Joss, you listening? Our documentary team is available for hire (and we're cheap too...).

Bix: In light of all you've done for this community, I'd be happy to send you a free copy or two. Email me your address.

Yay! This looks fantastic! Please tell me it will work on region 2 DVD players, so I can watch it!
I'm thrilled everyone is enjoying the cover. It started out as a picture of Earth/Miranda with the Sun rising behind it, but we knew it needed something more - enter Jayne! :-)

The DVD is Region Free NTSC, so feel free to enjoy it anywhere in the world.

Hey Jeremy--do you guys have a contact email? I can't seem to find one on the site, and I wanted to check something about my order.

Edit: well, either Jeremy or Brian, then. :-P

(And I forgot to agree with everyone--that's a brilliant cover.)

I just ordered mine.

Brian and Jeremy: Would you mind sweeping aside the mountain of orders you have lying around your offices and just expedite the orders you received today? Pretty-please? :) I needed to see this fine piece of work yesterday! Besides, I live in Norway, so it's gonna take forever to send it.
You can contact any of us via: firstname at donetheimpossible.com
We like to keep it simple :-) Use 'shipping at donetheimpossible.com' for order questions. Thanks,

It looks absolutely amazing! What a fantastic cover :)

I can't wait to get the DVD and show it at the Annual Israeli BuffyFest...
Brian, much appreciated, sending an email.
I am so excited about getting mine! I've been looking forward to this for a long time, and I know I'll be delighted with it.
Sleep-deprived inspiration or not -- the cover is brilliant. Kudos.

I seem to remember at one point there was going to be some order/payment option other than Paypal. What ever happened to that -- for those of us in the US who have wanted to order a copy but who refuse to use Paypal?
I know i ordered--but didnt get my email--yet

now I am worried
Well, darn that mentalpause, anyway. I just checked my e-mail and discovered that I had the foresight to pre-order this a long time ago. I honestly, totally, forgot I had done that!! Woo and hooo.

theonetruebix, just have one of your minions pick that up for ya! ;)
Our order page uses Paypal to process your regular credit card, and does not require a Paypal account.

I didn't get a confirmation either. Is there anyway we can check to make sure everything is alright?
Just a thought... you know how HBO runs the "making of" specials, often before or after a movie is shown? Any chance Done the Impossible can find its way to being shown along with Serenity when it comes to HBO? (I think we are too late for Cinemax...I think it's on next week) It just seems like the perfect way to show the non-fans out there why the Verse is so special. Would/could they play it?
Good idea. I am investigating several possibilities :-) Don't worry. We will double-check the orders database.

Looking forward to getting my copy.
Seems the site is having some issues. This story did appear on Digg earlier today, so it's probably just the digg equivalent to the site getting slashdotted.
Actually I just found out the company that hosts our site is in the middle of a power outage, and their backup generator isn't working. Not exactly the greatest day for that to happen. Hopefully it will be up again soon.

If anybody's interested in ordering while we are down just drop me an email and I'll let you know when the order system is back up. jeremy at donetheimpossible.com
Yep, site has disappeared. I suspect the web host is to blame.
JeremyN - I doubt that email address is working.
Blame me. It started right after I emailed Jeremy. Oops!. ;)
Gossi, good point, hopefully any emails will stay in the 'ether' until they are back up. However, just in case email me at jeremy at neish.com instead.
Well, I've had nothing bounce back, so I suspect that there's at least a secondary MX somewhere spooling the email until it can be delivered.
Very kind and wonderful of the Done the Impossible team to offer Theonetruebix a DVD. From what I read here at Whedonesque, 'bix worked his ass off coordinating the Serenity Now screenings, and tens of thousands of dollars were raised for Equality Now. If that doesn't earn a man a free DVD...congratulations, 'bix, and "well done," JeremyN!
