California Browncoats Raise Over $10,000 for Charity at Comic-Con. The California Browncoats raised over $10,000 ($10,901.77 exactly) at Comic-Con for the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation! With the help of prizes generously donated by Adam Baldwin, Joss Whedon, and several others, the California Browncoats raised an amazing amount of money for Adam's favorite charity.

Wow. I was about to say, "That's just awesome," but it's definetly more than that. The browncoat community continues to do stuff like this and it's wonderful.

Working to raise money for the MCLEF was more gratifying than I can articulate here. It was an honor and pleasure to be a part of the Browncoats, and to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Our booth at Comic-Con was abuzz the whole entire time,as if there was magic surrounding us. Perhaps it had to do with the love and admiration we have for Joss and his work. We will continue to raise awareness and money for both the MCLEF and Equality Now, two very important charities.

A big, huge thanks to all the volunteers who took time out of Comic-Con to work a shift or 2 at the fan tables. We really couldn't have done it without you.

And thank you to everyone who donated, that total is entirely due to your generosity.
