Contest: Submit the winning Firefly/Serenity-related slogan for an upcoming Zoe T-shirt, and win shiny prizes. A company called Lilac Trading Station is making a limited-edition Zoe T-shirt and are in the market for a Big Damn Motto to go on it.

The Prizes: They are offering one of the final shirts, an actual piece of the Serenity film (which is interesting), as well as decals & other sundries. The contest has been posted for a few days already, and is limited to five days, so if youíre interested, you should probably do it soon. You can go back in another few days and vote for your entry. (Oh, and do be prepared for Ballad of Serenity-inspired music when you get thereÖ)

(DISCLAIMER: I am not connected to these folks, but I have submitted my winning entry).

Looks an awful like a piece of film from the moment at which it failed during the Atlanta charity screening, after which the projectionist cut up the spliced-out part and handed out the frames as souveniers. Seeing as how the site is registered in Georgia, that probably makes sense.
The "e-umlaut" character is breaking the RSS feed.
As it turns out, b!x, yup, they are indeed affiliated with the Atlanta Browncoats Website and this link will take you directly to the same submission form at their site.

"Thanks for sayin', sir." -- ZoŽ, Firefly pilot, "Serenity"
I entered this after first seeing the link on Serenity Stuff. My winning entry:
"Once you've been in Serenity you never leave. You just learn to live there."
Does anyone know if people from outside the US can also take part? I canīt find any rules.
"Serenity. Better than Ice Pirates!" will not be the winning entry.
I'm going to stand on the sidelines and watch how this turns out.
Simon -- better than Ice Pirates?? Really?? I'm not so sure... Ice Pirates *is* some sort of classic... ;P
My entry: "Zoe Washburne frisked me."
pat, I'm about to start throwing fruits and meats.
Everyone's a critic.
Mine won't win either - I don't think there's a motto good enough for Zoe (unless you know who wrote it) but I'm looking forward to seeing the top picks.
"You want to leave this room and stop worshipping false b!Xes."
"Zoe -- that's with an umlaut."

(Sorry about breaking the RSS-feed. I hope it feels better now.)
"Serenity. Better than Ice Pirates!"

Actually, I would gladly pay a dollar for that T-shirt, lol! ;-)
Well...dropped my suggestion. Used either the actual line or a variation of a line by Wash about Zoe: "Ever been with an Amazon warrior woman?"

Probably not that original...but I really think it fits the silkscreened headshot of Zoe/Gina;)
Hey, I really like yours, BlueEyedBrigadier, it's the best I've heard so far. (Best I never thought of, too./envious) Strikes just the right note, I think.

(Mal: "Well said. Wasn't that well said, ZoŽ?"
ZoŽ: "Had a kind poetry to it, sir.")

Guess it's too much to hope that they'll put "Take me, sir. Take me hard." on a T-shirt, right?

It could happen.
I submitted the "Have you ever been with a warrior woman?" quote as well. Love that one. I sent in a few, I don't know if multiple entries are allowed so, shrug. I came up with a variation on a River/Wash quote: "Also, I can kill you with my pinky." The take me hard quote would be hi-larious, though I don't know how big it would go over with some. :)
Pesky hiking, missed it (I think, there doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious to enter).

I was looking forward to winning the Most Obvious Entry prize with "I went all the way to the Battle of Serenity Valley and all I got was this lousy T-shirt." ;-).
Saje, the Lilac Trading Station has posted this:

"Okay, we have had many phrases entered, soon we will be posting the the top five for you to vote on the one with the most votes is the winning phrase."

But voting via the Atlanta Browncoats site still seems to be open.

Wait, why am I telling you this? I want to win. Damn my impulsively-philanthropic impulses!

I want to enter mine, but I'm a loser and can't figure out how. I don't care much about prizes, but I want a shirt that says...

"Dear, we live on a spaceship."
Cheers for that QuoterGal (though I think this act of generosity shows you may lack the killer instinct needed to really succeed in the cut-throat world of T-shirt motto competitions ;).
I can't tell you the number of times I've heard that, saje, yet I labour on, faithful to the dream that somewhere, somehow, I'll find that singular T-shirt company that wants me for, and not in spite of, my unmitigated altruism.

It's what keeps me going.
Thank you for that advice, QuoterGal, I submitted an entry as well: "Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity?" I have to admit that my favourite Zoe quote is actually, "You paid money for this, sir? On purpose?", but it wouldn't really make sense on a T-shirt with just her head.
