(SPOILER) Spike: Asylum #1 reviewed. Want to know more about the anticipated IDW Spike mini-series? Fractal Matter has the first review.

Brian Lynch also did the hilarious Joss does Peanuts comic strip. And posts here as well.

I'm glad it got a good first review.
Got to get this ordered...is it up for pre-order yet???
The story really sounds good, and the review very positive.
As long as the fandom hangs in there I hope these comics will continue to be written. Need my Spike fix any way I can get it.
I believe you can pre-order this comic now, kathylovesspike. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Thanks for the info Shade of Pale...I will head over to IDW now.
Nice solid review. Good for Brian (and Franco)!
Nice review. I'm really looking forward to this series, it sounds like Brian has captured Spike's voice (but not, I hope, his literal voice since that would make this series the comic equivalent of a silent movie and then we couldn't have Spike's snark). Since the last issue (sob) of Spike vs. Dracula is out next week, Brian's series will be something to look forward to in the coming months.

Simon, thanks for the link to Joss Does Peanuts. It's great to start the day with a laugh. Luckily, I had swallowed my tea before reading the strip and didn't end up spraying tea all over my laptop. Thanks for the laugh, Brian.
So looking forward to this series. So far it sounds really promising and I can't wait to get my greedy little paws on an issue.

The cover artwork alone is worth it!
Check out Brian Lynch's site. He gives a brief teaser for each of the five issues. Issue 3 has a shirtless Spike.
Wow, those brief teasers on his site sound amazing. Can't wait for September.
