As whedonesque gets even more mainstream, doesn't James Gunn (hey James, if you're reading this) got more whedonverse assotiations than Nathan Fillion, I remember he's name assotiated with Sarah Michelle Gellar's and Seth Green's live action "Scooby Doo" movies.

Does anyone else get the heebie jeebies when the "mainstream" takes notice of Whedonesque? It's not that I don't want Joss and all related people and things to get attention, it's just...I dunno. Please excuse my suspicion and general malaise.

I've got the heebie jeebies and the general malaise, too, but I don't worry that much about Whedonesque. It seems about the same as it was around three years ago when I first saw it. Probably has to do with how Caroline guards her gates.

Well to be fair whilst Joss' TV list has drawn a fair bit of attention from the blogosphere, it's nothing compared to the coverage regarding the announcement that Serenity was to be delayed until September of 2005 and his love for Veronica Mars too. So swings and roundabouts, apples and pears ummm. That's all I got. But basically it'll be ok.

Seems safe to assume that by 2020, to a first approximation, all websites will either be Whedonesque, mention Whedonesque or be pluckily battling the behemoth Whedonesque over a trademark dispute. At which point someone will invent Whedonesque-nix and take the world by storm.

I only hope the mainstream still has it's facination with geeks, nerds and dorks when Whedonesque becomes more popular than Yahoo and Google...I've seen one too many television news reporters and Saturday Night Live skits lampooning the fans in line to see Star Wars and Star Trek films.
