TV Gal Runs the New Season Numbers. She mentions a few shows, "Three FOJW (Friends of Joss Whedon:". Not big mentions but how can you pass up anything that has FOJW in it and a couple other Whedon related mentions at the bottom of the article.

I think we need an FOJW website or t-shirts, or maybe it's just me that finds that funny.

I saw a promo for Heroes last night. It looks really good to me. Right up my alley. Has anyone heard anything?
I saw the first ep.

It is slow, but likeable characters.
Tamara Taylor, who should also been listed as a FOJW for her small roll as the teacher at the beginning of Serenity, made her debut on Bones this last Wednesday.
I saw that, too. Anyone suspect there could be a showdown, as in "this crime lab isn't big enough for the both of us", between Camille (the new boss) and Dr. Brennan eventually? At some level, it's also over who gets Booth, but it will be more about who's really in charge of the crime lab.
Thanks Palehorse, I'd forgotten where I had seen Tamara before. Not sure if I like the character in Bones, but she is a good actress (based on those two little bits I've seen).
She forgot to mention that Summer Glau is joining 'The Unit', but maybe she is only talking about brand new shows? FOJW is nice and short, I have a series of videos tapes labled 'Whedonesque Actors in Other Projects', which is kind of an unwieldy title.
Oh my, palehorse, I thought the new woman on Bones looked familiar (you would think I would recognize everyone on Serenity since I've seen it fifty times)! I liked her character, and I enjoy the show more and more.
Hey, and "FOJW" could quite easily stand for "fans of Joss Whedon" as well as "Friends" -- despite my dedicated stalking, I'm still but a fan.

(uh, kidding about the stalking! really!)
You know what I love a whole new season of spot the FOJW or other person with strong Whedon connections on Bones, besides the obvious one naturally, we started a list over at whedonesque.org about it. Is it me or does anyone else think Hart Hanson has a huge fanboy on all that is the verse, or maybe he just has a man crush on Joss.

Besides Tamara the Fed ADA while not directly in the whedonverse but she was in the Amber Benson film "Chance", she played her mom in the movie which also starred fellow whedonites James Marsters, Andy Hallett, David Fury, Jeff Ricketts, oh yeah and Amber Benson. She is also in the new Amber Benson film "Liars, Lovers, and Lunatics". Just thought I'd throw that in as well. :)

For those interested in the bones about Bones and how it did in the ratings, Wed night. From the FutonCritic among other sites, "The season premiere of "Bones" (households: 5.5/10, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T4) kicked off FOX's Wednesday schedule as the network took home top honors for the night. Compared with its post-"House" launch a year ago, "Bones" (households: 6.6/11; adults 18-49: 3.8 on 9/13/05) was down 16.67% in households and a whopping 31.58% in adults 18-49." It took the 8pm slot rather easily though given the competition of repeats and rockstars on the other networks. Should be interesting to watch how well it holds on when new shows start airing on the other networks. Even more so when mid-season comes along, if FOX still plans to move it to the timeslot of death in January.

An audience member at the recent WorldCon seminar "Crafting the Whedon'verse" coined the term "Josslings" for folks that worked under Joss ("Joss" + "underlings") but it also works for folks like us. (My thanks to this unknown person for coining what has got to be the most adorable nickname in the Joss-verse.)
I prefer the term "Whedonistas", but "Josslings" has a nice ring to it
"Josslings" . . . like "Fortune's Children" . . .

much better than "Destiny's Butt-Monkeys."
Anything is better than "Destiny's Butt-Monkeys," Pointy, LOL! But, I actually do like "Josslings" -- isn't there a planet somewhere where people juggle them? ;-)
A little too much like "Quislings" for my liking. Whedonistas works just fine.
Friend Sarah Paulson (Serenity) is also a star of the excellent Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Everyone needs to watch that show. I need a new weekly Sorkin show almost as much as I need a new weekly Whedon show.

One day, billz, if we we're not careful.
adam_tvs: "...excellent Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Everyone needs to watch that show. I need a new weekly Sorkin show almost as much as I need a new weekly Whedon show."

Oh, yeah, adam_tvs, I have been seriously jonesing for a damn fine Sorkin show as much as I have for a big damn Whedon-show. This one looks good and has *sigh* Bradley Whitford and Chinandolor Bong Matthew Perry. I'll be there or be square.
Whedonistas indeed. Caroline, time for more shirts!
Although I do like Josslings as well.
QuoterGal, my sister (who, blissfully enough, lives in the US) was able to get me a copy of the Studio 60 pilot, from Netflix. Damn good show. Of course, it is Sorkin, so...
adam_tvs - Everyone in Serentity was great but the two performances that really stood out to me, from people who weren't main characters, were Sarah Paulson and Mr. Universe. I was very happy to see Sarah Paulson in Deadwood, and am really impressed by anything I have seen her do so far.

Caroline, time for more shirts!

No, no, not MORE work...
