Yup, and combo looks great on her. I love boots with dresses -- one of the fashions I dig from the various 60s-70s revivals.

'Course, Alyson looks good in most clothes -- she even looked great in "Fake TV Nerd Clothes" (circa Buffy seasons 1-3-ish) -- although there are some sweaters I don't miss t'all from 3-4-ish.

I'm not surprised. In a recent Hollywood tabloid which runs a "Who Wore it Better?" feature (when two celebs are photoed in the same outfit, essentially), there were four pairs. Each pair consisted of Paris Hilton and a real celebrity. Of three pairs, Paris Hilton was chosen as the one who wore the garment better. The remaining pair consisted of Paris Hilton and Alyson. Alyson was chosen as the one who wore the gown better! I was giddy. She's a beauty. And while I'm on the subject since I'm watching s1 of Veronica Mars, what convinced Paris Hilton she can act??? Vomit. Glad she didn't ruin the series but damn, I bet that stunt casting cost them a few potential viewers that week. But anyway, yeah. Alyson is gorgeous as always.

I thought Paris Hilton was quite effective as a vacuous tramp on VM. Almost like she was a natural. Unfortunately, the stunt casting goes on. And on. They were still doing it in season 2.

I don't think the dress without the boots would have attracted any attention, though it's nice.

Not sure about the white dress -- though that's just a personal aversion to white and not necessarily a dis to the dress itself -- but the shoes are cute. (Look at us, analyzing fashion! Buffy would be so proud! *sniff*) I love the uber-black look, though, boots and all. Sleek and chic.

Yeah, I just saw on Rat Saw God the guy they brought in to play the Rent-a-car manager wasn't even an actor. I think he had something to do behind-the-scenes with TV or movies or something. What a charade.

OK, point. But Joss is a good actor whose casting just happened to be a stunt. Those reality TV people they cast in season 2 were gruesome.

Kevin Smith and Joss appeared because they worship the show and Rob likes them, Stephen King was trying to work out a way to appear as well for S3, but it fell through last I heard.
