Last Man Standing: Vampirella vs Buffy. Wizard's take on the battle between two classic female vampire hunters.

No real surprise as to who wins and for once, the loser doesn't just skulk off to fight another day.
If they're both vampire hunters, why would they be fighting each other?
That's covered in the text.

But for some reason Wizard has decided to resurrect it.
Simon, your memory is impressive.
Yes, I second what Jaynelovesvera said.

What I find great about that link is that Batman beats Spiderman. Love that, and I think its probably true.
NOt only two years ago here, but like 10 years ago in Wizard magazine when I used to get it. Another casualty of the internet...
Vampirella has all of a vampire’s strengths, yet none of their traditional weaknesses.

...

Somewhat dazed, Vampi lunges for Buffy’s open neck, only to find a two-foot piece of wood jabbed through her heart. Class dismissed.

Err, my contradiction-ometer is going haywire. How is a susceptibility to stakes in the chest NOT a traditional vampire weakness ? Or maybe when they say she has all of their strengths they mean except the one about being stabbed with anything but wood and anywhere but the heart and surviving ?

Also, Batman would indeed kick Spidey's arse but not in the way they depict. "Batman—moving too quickly for the Web-head to dodge—lands a nerve punch" ? Get away with ya. Spiderman has amazing speed and agility, Batman's is only the best a man can get, 'too quickly' my arse.

(and Buffy also has superhuman strength, speed and endurance which might have been worth mentioning under her pluses)

And yes, I am a bit bored and do have too much free time on my hands, why do you ask ? ;-)
Bored, time on my hands, and why is this called "Last MAN Standing"? Shouldn't they make an extra special exception in this case? ;-)
