Award winning Mal and Simon Video!
Download "Something (To Put In You)" which won first prize in the fanvid competition at the recent Starfury: Serenity Cubed convention in England.
I know you guys don't normally link to vids, but I hope you can make an exception for this one. It was left to the attendees to vote for the vids, and this won by an overwhelming amount. Even the celebrity guests seemed to like it - seeing Jewel Staite almost bent double in hysterics was a highlight of the weekend. Unfortunatly, Sean himself missed it but I really hope Jewel told him.

Seeing as Sean was shocked at discovering exactly what ships can be involved in fanfic ("Not Simon and River though? REALLY??"), I think he would have been a tad surprised at this.

And he didnt know about shipping and the notion of fanfic? He must have some idea after a certain point in the series, surely Joss(who I would imagine knows about such things) may have warned him, lol. Especially after that shirtless scene in Objects in Space. Maybe he was pretending he didn't know....
Oh and a related video... which is real life which I thought was cute(makes me think those two are aware of the type of fanfic out there) check out a small clip at the premiere of Serenity where Sean was giving an interview. There is a surprise. Here. love this video especially sean's reaction.

Still, I did think that at the end of that scene of Simon running downstairs (to the infirmary when he thought Kaylee was dead), it was going to cut to the scene of Mal waking up half-nekkid (from Serenity, when Wash sends him Inara's wave). I mean, I say that purely from an artistic point of view. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Seriously, dude, I think this board is a wicked influence on me. Wicked! Wicked!
Yay wicked influence! ;-)
But, I'm with Sean. Simon and River? Ewwwwwww!

Totally agree.

Still firmly in the Simon/Jayne camp when it comes to the favored male Firefly pairings. Though if we go beyond pairings into threesomes, Simon/Mal/Jayne wins (exactly like that too, Malcolm in the middle).

Yea, I'd say he would! He did add the "Its a safe word" scene in the BDM.
:-P
nixygirl | September 20, 04:23 CET
And nixy girl... for a sec when I read "its a safe word", after that I read "BDSM" not "BDM", I mean they do go together lol
And for those people who have no idea what that is... in your case ignorance is bliss. lol. I am twisted...
kurya | September 20, 04:49 CET
Jeez, thanks, Kris, for making sure I'll never be able to watch the sitcom with Frankie Muniz in the same way ever again. ;-)
*shakes head and mutters* Wicked, wicked, bad, naughty, WICKED board! ;-)

billz, that must have been one hell of a snort. Maybe you should switch to QuoterGal's trademarked Groans.

I'm so touched, jlv (and, gods, is THAT ever a straight line for you to jump on)! I'm also tempted to say "And now the student is the master," but that's inviting all kinds of bad karma, that's a fact.
*goes back to sitting snarkily at the master's feet* ;-)

Not that I'm complaining.
If I remember right from my days of working at a newsstand, Kris, Exercise For Men Only is also a gay mag, or at least the cover model was always shirtless and tight-pantsed with something going on with the package. What the hell did you order from Amazon?
Sorry about the additional graphics, billz.

I don't rememeber seeing it, but I wasn't there all day on Sunday (deferred to the pub for a bit) so it may have been shown between the guest talks.
The ones in the competition were all submitted by attendees.
Angelite | September 20, 14:31 CET
It would have been nice to have seen all the entries plus any others (and there are some excellent ones on line) over the whole weekend. Ah well.
The Do That Girl | September 20, 16:13 CET
Though it would have meant more competition!
