Comic Strip Creator "Johnny Guadalupe" Strikes Again with a strangely expressionistic self mockery of Whedon referencing and the subsequent linkage on this site.

Hilarious for some reason.

Hehehe! Now back to watching VM... =)
Hahaha! Dolphin Tamer, you're a star. Oh my god, that's priceless!

Oh, and the artist posted a comment on the strip saying, "Well, this comic should stop their users from posting links to my site." Um, really?

Is this some kind of meta self-linking? Strangely bizarre. But funny.

"Whedon Burlesque"! Funny.
Ha! That was really funny!
Bit too close to meta-linking for my liking. And I suspect the whedonesque ref is consciously designed to up site hits. Ah well. Slow news day, and all that.
It's a lot funnier than their last strip that was linked here.
Slow news day, yes. I've been looking for something about Astonishing X-Men #17 after release that I could post to get illuminating comments, but no luck.
Whedon Burlesque. I love it! I foresee an April Fools header redesign in our future, with animated Cancan Buffy and Frankenfurter Mal...
And I suspect the whedonesque ref

Huh? You suspect yourself?...Simon?...zeitgeist?...herb?...surely not Caroline?
Slow news day ? Amusing ? Whedonesquers ATTACK ! His Purpleness has been treated with less than complete and utter 100% devotion, how can we let this not-so-slight slight stand ? ;-)

He might be trolling for hits but at least he gave something back in the form of a funny cartoon. Pretty sure we've been trolled before when the article's just been actively hostile about/towards Whedon fans.

Agreed, Sir Saje. At least it's funny, which is more than I can say for:

sure we've been trolled before

I miss Olaf,too.

Going now.
Someone needed to pay the bills :) Whedon Burlesque is vaguely amusing, the rest was just 'meh', and yeah, we're in meta-linking territory. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Veronica Mars and Gamecube to attend to.
Yep...'meh' sums it up for me too.

I know the dude. He could use some hits. I find it funny and find no shame in that. Such a crime?
Just differences of opinion about whether individuals find it funny or not, Dolphin Tamer. For me, a "meh;" for others, a "yeah!" I've seen plenty of links here to trailers and such that get mixed reviews like this. So, definitely not a crime, IMO, just people voicing their personal taste! :-)
Dolphin Tamer - I just said I didn't find it all that funny and agreed that we were straying into meta-linking territory. I wasn't trying to shame anyone who did, nor did I suggest it was a crime (though meta-links are somewhat frowned upon). Thought I made it clear that it was meant in good fun when my last sentence was about VMars and GCube. Please feel free to drop me an email if you want to chat about it.
What exactly is a meta-link?
A link to something that links back to here :)
Understood. Wonderful days to all.
