Enjoyed that, thanks. It's good to know she's enjoying her work and her life. I guess in some ways it's disappointing she's moved so far off from Buffy and I don't need to know why she didn't involve herself more in panels and appearances. Perhaps the show was more of a trial for her than anyone knows. I looked at gossip about Sarah and the cast exactly once online and I never did it again. I didn't want to cheapen my experience of the show by having that crap in my mind. I will always honor Sarah for her work and integrity as an actor on the show. I'm not sure I'll see Grudge II but I am looking forward to the releases of the other films discussed in the interview.

She may not be involved in panels and cons (sounds like she has a pretty full plate as is) but she doesn't completely rule out coming back to Buffy in some form. She just seems to look at it as a job rathern than the consuming passion it is for many of us fans. Which is just fine.

I never realized she wasn't a natural blonde. Something she and JM had in common.

I found Sarah's comment about slaying with a cane very humorous. The girl is a doll. One class act all the way around.
FTR Spikey....Sarah has seemed pretty open to reprising her former role of Buffy for some time now. With the right script.
She was quoted as making that statement at the Comic Con in California a few years back. (Can't remember her exact words)
Did she ever really say she would never do Buffy again? That's not something I recall but I could have missed it.

Kinda OT but as much as I love Sarah's golden locks, she looks amazing with darker hair. She's really just a vision.

She is a doll. I saw her on Conan O'Brien last night and she looked lovely and was so pleasant and sweet. Her hair isn't quite blond or brown but somewhere in between and it's really pretty. Her natural color is a really dark brown and I think the in between color is a good look on her.

She always comes across as so switched on in interviews, down to Earth but aware of the traps and pitfalls her job entails. Smart, professional, funny woman.


Y'know I may get strung up for this but that was always one of the great attractions with SMG for me. She's absolutely lovely but as a guy you could kid yourself that on your very best day, when you're at your funniest, nice shirt, decent shave you might stand a chance of her not just laughing you out of the room if you tried to chat her up (a lot of Hollywood types just seem totally inaccessible, like Gods/esses that walk among us - maybe partly why there seems such keenness to see them fall). That said, to me this 'normalness' is part of what makes her gorgeous.

(can't believe they missed the chance to open on Friday the 13th in the UK. Maybe worried about competing with Texas Chainsaw Massacre 0 ?)

Saje, very insightful, as always when I agree with you. Your switched-on yet down to Earth observation is dead on, I think. To me she always exudes a very intelligent awareness and readiness, if that makes any sense. Like she takes the motto "be pepared" very seriously. And no offense to anyone whose views may be at odds with this, but to me she seems very strong, very liberated, yet very much a lady. I don't think her absence from scandal sheets pictured staggering drunkly from nightclubs with a disheveled appearance is because she hasn't been caught yet.

And if even on your best day your attempt to chat her up were unsuccessful, her declining would not entail laughing you out of the room and making you feel bad.

Of course, that's you...
Now, I tried it a couple years ago when I was in New York and saw her at a club. I could still hear her laughing derisively at my puny attempts a half hour later as I sat in my hotel room feeding my tear ducts a pint of Ben $ Glory's Crybaby Chocolate Swirl. Sorry, I'm tearing up...

I too like the darker hair on her. I remember that music video she did for Stone Temple Pilots with dark hair and I thought that looked pretty good too. But 30! It's hard to believe our little Buffy is 30!

I truly believe that she will never be Buffy again though. She's just not into it. It's a shame but I can live with it.

On the current topic, folks, if SMG isn't pretty, what constitutes "pretty?" I understand about intelligence and good nature and talent and all entering into it, but I seem to remember a lot of still photos where she was just pretty, or even "drop dead gorgeous." Not that that's terribly important in terms of who she is or anything in particular, but I may be confused about what "pretty" means.

This is a new interview.She made similar comments two years ago while promoting the first Grudge,joking about slaying vampires with a cane.Her position is still the same.If Joss comes to her with a great idea and script then she would be open to it.I think she is ultimately putting it in Joss court on him having to make a first move.Her comments on TRL earlier this week also seemed that way.

I was lucky enough to briefly meet Sarah many years ago when Buffy was as it height and I can tell you she is an absolute sweetheart, I was scared to death but forced myself to ask for her autograph, I was so nervous but she chatted away asking ME about myself!! I tried to stay calm because I didn't want to forget any of it, we chatted for a couple of minutes and then she had to go, I have met other celebrities but meeting Sarah was the tops without a doubt.

dreamlogic, thank you. By the way, I take requests if you have any artists in mind. I just naturally gravitate to Mr. Wonder's genius. On the topic at hand--don't anyone faint--I think all women fall within three camps: Beautiful but not sexy, sexy but not beautiful, or beautiful and sexy. Before all the women kill me for generalising, note all women are at the least either sexy or beautiful. Sarah is both beautiful and sexy in my expert* opinion.

*only in this one narrow field. I think I've more than proven my bona fides as a non-expert in all other facets of human existance. Before chiding me consider the more charitable option and throw me a bone.

JLV, I was also being tongue in cheek, but I was at work and posting while also trying to meet some regulatory deadlines so I did not realize my comment could be taken as sarcastic.

What I was tempted to mention was that I know lots of men that consider pretty much every woman they have ever met to be sexy in some way and that it can be an attractive quality in some men while being totally creepy in others. I have no doubt that if you *were* one of those fellows, JLV, you would be one of the charmingly attractive ones. ;-)
