Audio Interview with Summer Glau. Newstalk ZB reporter Darren Bevan chats to Summer Glau of TV series Firefly and movie Serenity ahead of her appearance at the Armageddon Pulp Expo in Auckland over Labour Weekend.

Summer is headlining an event Down Under this weekend and they have posted anaudio interview online. She hints that she and Joss "may" be working on a little something together aside from Wondy Gal stuff!!!

Summer wants to act in a Western, a ballet movie, and a period drama set in the 1700s or 1800s. And I wish to see these movies. Great interview, fade2dust, thanks for posting it!

Oh, wouldn't it be wonderful if that "little something" involved Mia or Violet in Goners? She's long been one of the frontrunners to be the star of our favorite movie over at gonersmovie.com...
Cabri- That's the first thing I thought of too. I remember Summer saying this awhile back:

My ideal role would be someone that Joss created- naturally. A girl like River in some ways. Damaged but special, lost but brave. Someone in love but this time not with her brother.
But she says it is a little something - not big like Wonder Woman so Goners seems unlikely. Because Goners is going to be BIG! Excellent news anyway. Whatever it might be.
Because Goners is going to be BIG!

I think Goners very much would qualify as "not big" when the comparison is Wonder Woman.

On the other hand, maybe they're going to go off into a studio and make more R. Tam Sessions. Or they're preparing to call me up so I can film a Sessions-like interview with them about making the Sessions, to appear on a special edition Serenity dvd.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

There was an interview a few months ago with Summer where she said she was hoping to work in a particular upcoming motion picture, but couldn't talk about it yet as nothing is formal. I don't think they've approached casting for Goners. What I can say is that I'd put money on Summer being high on the list of ideal cast for one of the roles.
About her secret maybe role...I heard awhile ago that Summer had auditioned for James Cameron's Avatar. Of course, she was supposedly seen by a brother's friend's friend, so...for what it's worth.
