Astonishing X-Men #18 Out This Week! Astonishing X-Men #18, the conclusion to the current arc, comes out. Looks to be another great week for Marvel.

That's the cover for issue 19 isn't it? Oh where oh where is the preview?
AXM 18, a new civil war, and Daredevil: father? If spider-man/black cat or daredevil/bullseye came out this week too, it would have been the perfect week.

And yes, I know the delays aren't the fault of joss.

Yeah, it is the cover to 19, because unstoppable is the next arc. Maybe they don't want to release the cover art because it's a major spoiler, like the colossus variant to #4.

Well it's either the return of Jean Grey whose had made more comebacks that Sinatra ever did or someone dies. Both of which I can't see happening oddly enough.
Maybe he brings gert back early. That'd be fairly hilarious if the cover was just a huge image of gert.
Shiney! So new collection book soon, aye? 1 and 2 are getting lonely on my shelf :( Isn't it one for every six issues?
Simon: Jean Grey comes back and dies again in the same issue?
And check out the Image Comics listings in the Diamond Shipping List. :-D

Sorry Theyarescientists--but Spider-Man/Black Cat is already finished. Still hard to belive, yeah, I know. :-)

And my guess for the #18 cover is some revelation about the two Emma's.
I was just joking about spider-man black cat. It just seemed fitting to add it to a list of books that were delayed. I could have said crisis on infinite earths or watchmen, but no one would have gotten it.

Double the evil goodness.

I think I've figured it out. I'll put this in spoilery invisible text for the heck of it.
So, is it really coming out this week? Really really?

I need my Joss fix.
Anyone else noticed that there's no solicitation info for Astonishing X-Men for January and now February.
So does that mean #19 in December and then maybe delayed bi-monthly again for the next arc ? That'd be a drag.

(and because i'm studiously avoiding the spoiler thread up-board and because this is the next nearest comics thread and because I doubt it's worth its own post, i'll mention that Southland Tales Book 2: Fingerprints is also apparently out this week)
Well before Marvel released their February schedule today, the AXM delays were as follows (via The Axis):

Astonishing X-Men #18 has slipped from 18 October 2006, initially to 1 November, then to the 8th, and now to the 15th. Issue #19 slips from 15 November to 27 December. And issue #20 goes back from 20 December 2006 to 7 February 2007.

And now it is anyone's guess when #20 comes out. Hopefully the first week of March.
