Jane Espenson answers questions about writing for Battlestar Galactica. Fan favorite Buffy writer/producer answers questions about writing this week's Battlestar episode "The Passage." No spoilers.

I read that her ep is more or less focused around Kat--not too thrilled as of right now because she has never been one of my favorites, but I'm sure Jane will have something great in store for us.
Jane's is so awesome. I really hope they bring her back for more episodes or (*gasp), maybe even as a staff writer?

"I'm writing Starbuck now! Right now! Starbuck! Oh! And now I'm writing Kat! Whoo!"
Hey, this is Keith of TV Squad. Thanks to whoever submitted this link. :)

If anyone's got questions you'd like me to ask Jane after the episode airs, make sure you visit back to the site and let me know. Jane's an incredibly friendly person to deal with, and it's such a great opportunity to get some honest answers from a writer who's also a true fan of the show she's writing for.
Resolute, I'm sure there was a link here a few weeks ago about an upcoming episode she co-wrote with someone, so yes, they are bringing her back for more episodes.
Too many jokes about dead children. Oh, Jane, you always make me laugh :-)

I'll be very interested in seeing what she does with this week's episode. I'm not so hung up on her "bringing the funny" as I am to see what other strengths she can bring to the show. Her dialogue was always smart and clever - whether comedic or dramatic.

Actually chickenbird, I think you mean The Batman episode she co-wrote with Doug Petrie.
"The Passage" will be her first BSG episode.
No, I recall that she is cowriting a BSG ep later in the season with Anne Cofell Saunders. Maybe one of the Badger eps? Love it when fandoms collide. (Sounds like a new reality show on FOX!) Speaking of FOX, isn't she under contract to them, working on the new Andy Richter comedy? So she probably won't be brought onto the staff of BSG proper. I just think it's awesome that she gets to stretch her wings and do a couple of eps for a show of this caliber (again!)

ETA Link to Anne Cofell Saunders interview where she mentions the collaboration

Yeah, I'm 99% sure it was episode 16, "Dirty Hands," that she mentioned.
