"Big Damn Chefs - the cook book" now on sale. It contains over two hundred and fifty recipes from Browncoats around the world. All proceeds go to Freedom From Hunger.

Congrats to all who are involved in this project.

echo the congrats

can not wait to cook up something for a shindig from this very cool cookbook
There's a $5 off $20 coupon code - "camerasalts". The coupon applies only to the cost of the item (not shipping), so, because the cookbook is $19.95 you have to buy something else in order to get the $5 off.
Also, flat rate shipping is free (at least in the US) if your order is over $50.
Hope my Crab Masala recipe made the cut!
Yes, Chris, it did! :) It's on page 137 or so...

PS: Cedric mentioned to me this morning: "Hooray! Something to give for Christmas to those who already have Firefly and Serenity!

BTW, if you're thinking Christmas will be gone too soon to give this gift, just remember that historically, the Twelve Days *start* with Christmas Eve, and the Yuletide is not really over until Twelfth Night/Three Kings Day, which is in early January. So late presents aren't really late; they're just historically accurate!"

Keep that in mind, eh? :)

Great, Julesong!

But: having trouble accessing the site...definitely want to order a couple of copies.
Are there vegetarian recipes in the book?
Yes, there are vegetarian recipes in the book!! :)

And as Cedric of the Bedlam Bards said to me this morning:

"Hooray!

I jsut looked at the big damn chefs site and the lsiting of recipes.... WOW... thats all I can say that is a lot of recipes, I think i can eat some of those(the vege ones). As doon as I can I will buy that recipe book, I need more recipes since I just moved out 6 months ago! Oh, and I also like the fact you have your finances listed up front and displayed, really appreciate that. And amazing cover too!
The front cover is by Bill Mudron - didn't he do a fantastic job? And the back cover is by Michelle Dockrey, of "Mal's Song" fame. :) The greyscale chapter dividers inside are by Ben Mund and Patrish Dehler.
Woo-hoo! Finally! So very excited! Just moved into a real house with a real kitchen! I'm treating myself to a housewarming gift!

Looks like a bunch of browncoats are doing their last-minute Christmas shopping or something, because Cafe Press was down all morning, and though it's back up now, I still cannot get the checkout to work...

I just talked to somebody at Cafe Press...their system is down, should be up in about an hour.
Thanks for the update Chris.
Just put in my order!
Checking the CafePress site, it looks like we've sold 44 copies of the cookbook so far! :) And it looks like 8 of those from 5 orders have been completed already today. So I suspect that those 5 orders either went out today or will go out tomorrow.

How shiny is that??? :)
shiny...but I can't access the site now :S
Yes, CafePress has been up and down regularly. Too much holiday traffic, I suspect. As Dori says, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..." :)
