Serenity Pirates. After looking on YouTube for the Into the Black fanfilm trailer, I came across this video mashup combining clips from Serenity with a song called 'You are a Pirate' taken from the childrens' series LazyTown. Oddly enough, it works.

Edited to add: Another pirate-themed Serenity mashup, but using music from Pirates of the Caribbean. Ahoy there, me Big Damn Heroes!

That was just what I needed to wipe those WW-wannabe clips out of my mind. Brilliant!
The truly surreal thing about this is, this is a song that is FREQUENTLY sung on the set of Into The Black, as I'm a tad obsessed with LazyTown, and sing this all the time...usually with the aid of Miranda, who plays Sera.
that was horrid.
That's one of the more nuts songs I've heard before..
I got such an odd kick out of that! It was goofy, yet my inner child liked it very much. Did anyone notice that at around :20, it sorta looks like the words are coming out of Jayne's mouth, and then at :24, the phrase "precious booty" comes out of Mal's mouth? I can't help but wonder if that was on purpose. Or maybe I just reside in the gutter. ;)
I also like how at the end it looks like Jayne is calling Mal a pirate.
And when the girl is singing we see River kicking ass. I'm sure that's deliberate.

"Mal, you're just a ruttin' pirate!"

"And you Jayne, you ain't nothing but a gorram mercenary gun for hire sumbitch!"

I got the impression that all of it was very much on purpose.

I thought it was rather cleverly done.
Oh gawds, not the Pirate song!

*memories from ITB come flooding back*

Too funny that that link was found while looking for the ITB trailer!
The ironicalness of that was not lost on me Aurra ;)

Actually it's better than that. The server hosting the ItB trailer (splatfilms.com) was down, and zeek on the forum suggested I look on YouTube. I found the trailer there, and IIRC the Serenity Pirates mashup was in the Related list (but it isn't there today).
"I can see you"

Pure genius
