How can I not order this? May 8 is my birthday. Happy birthday to me!
Shiny! I've been waiting since the day I got vol 1!
Frikkin' UK getting stuff early...grumble mumble Torchwood....grumble mumble Runaway Bride....grumble!
Woot... that's my birthday!

...Hey, it's April's birthday too? No way!
Wasn't it originally scheduled for March, both in UK and the US?

Well, it doesn't matter, already pre-ordered (or actually pre-imported) my copy a while ago.
BrightShiner - thanks for reminding me I need to go grab 'Runaway Bride' (The Doctor Who ep, not the movie, if anyone was readying a smartarsed comment!)
And the first Vol came out earlier than scheduled, correct? Or was it the Serenity Visual Companion? (Eiiiieeiii, my memory....)So this one might as well.
I still haven't finished reading volume one, which was much more interesting and full of background information than I had expected. Does anyone know if volume two will be the last one, or will they end up with three Firefly companions?
Volume two is the last planned one, embers.

By the way, I just checked Firefly on Amazon, and it's #2 on DVD sales. 20th Century Fox have really made money from Firefly.
Yep; I've noticed the Firefly/Amazon daily tracker as well and I'm going to preorder Vol.II..hello, all -new here but have been keeping tabs on this site. Any more news on the Browncoat Cruise? I'll keep poking about.
sister - Browncoat Cruise thing is taking preorders on their website now.
gossi is also taking pre-orders on his website, but he won't say what for, so I'm hesitant to send him my credit card info... ;)
zeitgeist, does this mean the rumor is true that gossi has already written and published The Goners Companion? (BTW, new Whedonesque people and interweb rumor-spreading types -- this is entirely a joke and a lie!) ;-)
billz - that's totally false. I'm actually publishing The Goners Visual Companion. I'm totally going to fill it with random pictures of people rumoured for the role of Mia. Well, okay, that'd be a book full of pictures of Summer Glau. But it'd have a high pretty factor.
Summer as Mia! Summer as Mia!
Interestingly enough I pre-ordered my copy months ago, when I ordered the first volume of the visual companion (amazon had one of those "buy this together with the other one" blurbs). I just checked amazon, and they say they'll dispatch it in January, so that could be interesting (though the last time they said they would dispatch a pre-ordered item months before release they didn't).

So the real question here is, when can I pre-order Gossi's Summer Glau picture book, aka The Goners Visual Companion? And wasn't Morgan Freeman rumoured to be cast for Mia?
No prob, zeitgeist!

*mimics a boy in my Photoshop class* Mooorgan Freeman!
gossi, a book full of pictures of Summer Glau? Count me interested. ;-)
gossi - I thought it was The Goners Virtual Companion for XBOX360, PS3, and PC. Make smutty comments about new and, uh, interesting peripherals here. Just kidding, best not ;)
I've seen those Goners pictures! My favorite is Summer standing en pointe on the back of a llama, eating pie. Mmmm, pie!
Pie, yo! ;-)
Ohh, good to know about this. I had no idea it could be preordered already.

*clicks right over to Amazon*

gossi, any truth to the rumor you're been trying to get SangChaud a role AT Goners?
I'm not gossi's publicist, but I play him on the interweb. So, to answer the question (or, rather fail to, depending on your point of view), "No comment.".
Gosh, zeitgeist, you have gossi down pat! That's pretty much all we get out of him whenever we mention SangChaud. Not in so many words, of course. Oh, wait, once we got an "I forgot". Then he left and forgot again. ;-)
zeitgeist - wait, you're not my publicist? Damnit, now somebody tells me.
jlv, cabri, zeitgiest, gossi, thanks! And I hear, from another thread, that I'm in a remake of Ferris Bueller as well as in (on? at?) Goners (the site, not the movie).

Wow. *Insert lengthy Oscar acceptance speech here.* Also, come to think of it, *Insert happy dance here.*[/silliness]
