Serenity midnight showings in Seattle. Serenity will be showing as the midnight movie this Fri and Sat (12/29-30/06) at Seattle's Egyptian Theatre. Buy tickets here for Friday or Saturday.

If I were going to be in town, I'd so be there. I've been itching for a big-screen serenity viewing for oh, a year now...

We're still trying to determine if a Portland contingent is making the trip up for one of these.
The Seattle Browncoats are going to be a mighty presence on both nights! Any Browncoats from out in the Black wanna go? I'm happy to meet 'n greet fellow 'Coats!
Myself and all of my house mates will be there with bells on! I am so excited to see it on the big screen (once again!).

We are? Is there a discussion I'm missing out on?
Of course now that I'm not up there there's a showing! Man I'd love to go see one of these and meet up with some browncoats! Good luck to everyone on it!
I am so envious. Was this just a decision made by the theatre manager? (or theater manager?) I hope that they get a great response.
Lioness - I believe that this is a Landmark Theatres decision. The Houston Browncoats just had screenings at their Landmark theater.

(note: I got interrupted in the middle of this, so this may be answered)
Sounds like a helluva hootenany. I will try to make it! :)
My husband and I are going to be there with a few of our pals. We're also planning on meeting for a pre-movie shindig near the theater. Details are at our Meetup site. Please RSVP so that we can attempt to secure enough seats at the restaurant!
Thanks for the heads up - I had no idea it was at the Egyptian. I'm out to round folks up for another chance to see the BDHs on the big screen!
so. very. jealous.
Several Landmark theaters screened Serenity in November 2006 and two in December. Landmark's website http://www.landmarktheatres.com says they have theaters in "Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Boulder, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York City, San Diego, S.F. Bay Area, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington D.C."

Just in case anybody wants to give their Landmark theater a hint that there are people in the area that would love a midnight screening of Serenity. Or maybe you can just hope some local Browncoats arrange a Charity Serenity Screening around June 23, 2007 (Joss Whedon's birthday) near you.

http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/ "over twenty cities have committed to holding CSTS screenings in 2007" and it isn't even 2007 yet.

Thanks, stuart, for posting about the Seattle screenings.

If you need someone else to be jealous of, how about http://whedonesque.com/comments/12075
Firefly on the Big Screen...in Oakland, CA. Scroll down to December 28, and you'll see that the Parkway Speakeasy Theater will be showing the entire series of Firefly on the big screen, three eps at a time.
