Astonishing X-Men: the trailer.
Marvel has created a trailer to promote Joss's final AXM arc, UNSTOPPABLE.
The trailer reveals that it runs to #25? I thought it stopped at #24, to be followed by a Giant-Sized Astonishing X-Men?
EDIT - this was an error and the video is down while they fix it.

14 Feb 2007!!! *crys, crys like a hungry angry baby*
Oh and the trailer was cool. But now regret looking at it because of the flashes of panels from after issue 12. :( I now have regret like a hungry angry baby. Guess this nappy needs changing.
Damn, the line between funny and wrong is never big enough. Here ends the disturbing imagery.

Stan, Jack and the rest of the bullpenners never got a send-up like that!

They've done several. Civil War certainly had one.

Well, good luck to whoever Marvel has to follow up Joss on Astonishing; it's one hell of a run to follow.

*sigh* Does UNSTOPPABLE really have to be the end of the Whedon/Cassaday run?

They know there'll be riots in the streets if they promise us more Joss and it doesn't turn up. :-)
(Now if the trailer would stop telling me my connection is too slow, I could check if that is actually fixed now.)

Can't wait to read it altogether.

They were considering stopping AXM after Joss's run, but only that: considering.
Keeping it aside for Joss to come back later is just an impossibility--those are some of the most core X-Men characters. They're not going to disappear from the universe for an indefinite period of time.
April: Nah, Astonishing is selling too well for that--there'll probably be a drop after Joss is done, but the next writer will still carry over a lot of the audience. A differently-adjectived X-Men title would have more trouble getting off the ground.
I'm still rooting for Greg 'Phoenix Endsong/Planet Hulk' Pak.

I really like not constantly wanting to smack Emma, and when Pak is writing her, I pretty much do.
I wish Brubaker wasn't already doing Uncanny. . .
