In Real Life - A documentary about Bronzers; the residents of the official BtVS/Angel message board. Ten years ago (yikes!) The Bronze opened and the first BtVS fans found each other online. This documentary explores the real life, life long relationships that grew from the board and spilled over into "Real Life."

There are a couple of trailers to watch at the link.

I've already linked my MySpace page to this new page. I sure hope she can get it out to the people, like at Wondercon in a few weeks.

Stevie is a she.
The director is currently seeking a distribution arrangement either via television or direct DVD release.

They can self publish and sell online if they want - I can walk them through it, if they want.

Does the Bronze still exist?
Sorry about the typo, Allyson. I was so excited to join the MySpace page, I should have typed "she", not "he". I was also watching football.
Anyway, if there are any leftover pages of the old Bronze, they may be gone by now. It's been more than five years since it closed down. I have a "memorial" on my web site that's mainly a page that resembles a "Bronze" page, but that's it.
But most of us still have the memories.

impaler, is this your memorial page? The Bronze VIP Posting Board Archives. Or is this some other Bronzian or Bronzian-related archive? There's a bunch of older and newer posts still there...

Okay, enough of me. I'm pretty overwhelmed with the love here, thank you all so much. I'll post again when my brain feels less like overcooked bacon.

Whether or not tonight's ep worked, i know this much: Musicals will never go away. They may hide, they may hibernate, but they endure. We've had some great examples lately (South park, Oh Brother, Moulin Rouge, Magnolia) and there's gonna be more. They're like a drug. Gotta have 'em.

Sleepage. ANd I did post some stuff over at the Beta about ep 8 and whatnot. Lot's o fun.

yours ever, me."
- The Jossir, I believe
No, that's made by someone else. My "memorial" is just a page that resembles the Bronze, and nothing more. It's nowhere as extensive as the site you linked. But the VIP Posting Board Archives did bring back a lot of memories for me.

Am not sure if the trailer does the best job promoting the film. It might appeal to people who don't know anything about the internet (are there people left who don't know anything about the internet?), but for those of us who are on Whedonesque or other boards and are familiar with online friendships and support groups, what would draw us in to this movie?
The Bronze opened and the first BtVS fans found each other online.

Which did come first, the Bronze or the Buffy Cross and Stake?
The real question, Simon, is which comes first in our hearts.
I think the Bronze came first but that could be because I myself was a regular member of the Bronze before I learned about BC& S.

I still have friends I met there; we email each other every day and one of them met his wife through the Bronze and moved to the US after the marriage.
NO offence to anyone, but I cannot say I find the trailer all that interesting. I was not there, but have seen other pieces on the subject of internet friendships that looked like they were going to be much more professionally done and...well...lively.
I'll have to agree. It mentions more about how the internet links fans together, but not the real reason they are linked...namely Buffy. But maybe that's for a future trailer, along with the footage of the last Bronze get-togeter.

Ah that would be the B C & S then. Learnt all my tricks there. Got a wife too.
The Bronze. Yikes. I just flashbacked to the day after the big Buffy death scene.

Talk about Crazy posty panic.
Gossi, impalergeneral Does the Bronze still exist?

There's still some pages out there. Even after all these years the URL is still etched in my memory (I started posting there

before I knew what a bookmark was...)

The BC&S was my first tentative foray into online fandom. Ah, happy days, when there were seasons of Buffy not yet filmed, let alone seen! And I thought I would never read fanfic...little did I know how much I'd need my fix!
