An interview with Astonishing X-Men's Laura Martin. Everything you wanted to know about being a colorist and more. There's very nice tidbits about Astonishing X-Men #19.

Great to see such a historical and technical perspective on coloring. Laura DePuy, as was still her name at the time, was probably one of the first colorists I recognized by name and by her style.

And now it turns out she has a good taste in TV shows, too. :-) (Working while Firefly is on in the background? I could never stop myself from just watching it all the time.)
She brings immense substance to every page, enhancing the story and yet never drawing attention to the mechanics or distracting from the pen and ink. Awesome color artist at the height of her field.
