Buffy makes it into today's crossword. If you're bored at work and feel like completing today's LA Times crossword, you should at least be able to figure out 65-across after a little thinking.

Blushes, I thought it was stake.
Damn, that took me WAY too long to get.
Wow. I knew 49, 55, and 56 down. I'm usually terrible at these things.

I was near certain it would be "Angel".. I guess I went in the opposite direction? I don't think the answer is particularly related to Buffy, but I guess crossword writers need to keep it fresh.

ANSWER:

Heh, I guessed Angel at first, too.
That was fun. Took most of my lunch hour to figure it, though. :)
For posterity, this link should still be good after today.
I got 54 Down right off, so my first guess was "Darla," unfortunately wrong. But I eventually got it by figuring out other down words.
Same here... I had to guess 54, 55, and 56 down before I figured it out.
sigh, i cheated my way through the entire thing. i am lame.
That was the crossword from my paper this morning (Toronto Sun). I was clueless until I got some other things filled in. Did it on-line in 14:43. I heart when crosswords and tv collide!
Sort of off topic, but in today's NY Time's online crossword section, The Dresden Files was the day's sponsor of the day's special crossword (James Marsters reads the audio versions of the books).
Gee, thanks, Operative! I couldn't resist doing the whole puzzle. Sigh...

Weird, but Angel was one of my first thoughts too, though it doesn't really fit. I guess disturbed minds also think alike.
the answer was oh so obvious and yet tricky at the same time. it was fun doing the crossword puzzle. i haven't done one in years.
I loved the .swf-fyness of it. Very cool.

...and then I proceeded to spend an hour and a half doing two weeks worth. Good thing I had no work to do tonight!

Thanks for the fun.
