I generally don't comment on the Wonder Woman casting stuff as it just seems to be dragging on for ever what with all the rumours after rumour after rumour (finish the script already Joss!!!).

But I have to say that Cobie Smulders has been my favourite choice since it was first announced that Joss was doing WW, and that was even before I got into HIMYM and was based on her role in the rather poor and short-lived 'Veritas: the Quest' (Cobie was the only decent thing it had going for it really).

However, I honestly thought there was no way she would ever be linked to the role, so it's nice to know that she would at least be interested in the part.

I have been quite vociferous on the subject of who should play WW, I think its the first time I have ever been fanatic fangirl. I am boring my friends to tears with my ranting every time a new actress is "tipped" for the role (which is thrice daily!!). I do think Smulders would be a good choice, in fact she is now my favourite. Go Smulders!!

Just watched the Angel ep "The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco", and I *think* Joss gave us some foreshadowing on who he would like.... At the very beginning, Lorne is talking to Fred and he tells her she is "Wonder Woman". Not sure if she would be my all time favorite choice, but it wouldn't bother me either!

I'm auditioning for the role as well. I think I'm a lock, being an asian male who looks nothing like wonder woman. I figured I should just throw my hat into the arena as well and maybe joss will decide to pull a move like the BSG guys did with starbuck.

You are so right about the hair color issue, but honestly the complexion shouldn't be a factor either. In the comic she is pale with dark hair and my understanding is that in the legend of the Amazons the women are also pale...and blond actually. If they decided to go with an olive complexion I doubt that people will complain...more than they will no matter who is chosen. ;-)
