I thought there was already a drive (hehe) to save the show from cancellation...

Netflix always puts these things up well ahead of time (e.g. the next Harry Potter movie is up). Plus these are the days of DVDs the day after the premiere (24) and pilots on DVD before they air (Studio 60, Kidnapped).

Is it completely unreasonable to want people to have a postiive attitude about the longevity of this show? TV's next big hit, Drive will be a fantastic success and last for many many seasons.

I'm totally excited for Drive. For my part, the macabre humor is purely jest (and honestly, Tim himself started it ;-). I am very much looking forward to it being a great show for years.

TamaraC, that's exactly what I'm afraid of. Angel is the only Minear show that didn't jump the shark every season after the first!

(But for serious, I think most of us do expect (once again) that this show will be the one for Tim. We just put on a cynical front because we've been hurt before.)

I've added it. Pretty straightforward.

This seems to work better with stuff that's already out, but not available in their library. I asked for Space: Above and Beyond, and now it's available, when it was not available before. I have no doubt they'll pick up Drive on DVD when it becomes available.

The Netflix show description incorrectly lists Alan Ruck as still being a cast member. Sigh. He's not listed under cast, however.

I suppose the benefit of our adding this to our respective queues is to prompt Netflix to pre-order a sufficient bunch of discs. I don't know if they share data with Fox Television, (before the DVDs are released,) but that might also help the network gauge prospective interest...

Also, yes, I added Drive to my Netflix save queue as well.
