Magnus, in Latin, means big. It can also be interpreted as great or strong. Hm. I always have slight reservations about names that are qualities, values or states of being.

I worry that the person might feel undue pressure to live up to their name, or will turn out to be a walking irony.

I have met, for example, a Grace that was rude and obnoxious, a Constance that was flighty, and more than one depressive Joy. Growing up in San Francisco has also given me the pleasure of coming into contact with endless people named Rainbow, Aura, Peace, Love and Harmony, to name just a few.

...and we all know a Faith that was that wasn't quite the epitome of trust, confidence and loyalty.

I don't follow gossip so maybe that came from a different source, but in this article it did not say he left his pregnant wife for her. It stated that he and his wife were separated before they started dating.
