Jen, not to be rude, but that's Midwest slang, or at least Wisconsin. Kind of like our "bubblers" which at times I'm certain is just Wisconsin. You normal people call them "drinking fountains."

Hey! They say "bubblers" in Rhode Island too! My mom is from RI and so I find myself saying it from time to time, which of course gets me odd looks.
Huh. I wonder why it's RI and WI; it's certainly not like they're physically close together.

Come to think of it, we say "You want to come with?" also. Hm.

I'm from Wisconsin too, and I've heard that the word "bubblers" is in reference to a kind of water fountain manufactured in the state.

Oh, it's a mess. Try going to college with lots of kids from Illinois and having completely different regionalisms. They were always pissed off (and vice versa) cause we called it "soda" instead of "pop."
