(SPOILER) iFMagazine review Buffy #1. Lots of love for the first part of Buffy season 8. Bad news is that the release date for the first issue has been pushed back till the 14th of March according to the Dark Horse website.

Fellow Whedonesque poster buffycomics deserves the credit for the heads up for alerting us all to the one week delay.

But hey we've waited nearly 4 years for more Buffy, one extra week aint going to kill us.

Whatever the supposed printing error was that caused the delay, I'm sure the organizers of this year's charity screenings of Serenity would be glad to take those copies off Dark Horse's hands for auction/raffle purposes.

*nudge nudge*
Pushed back to the 14th?!

Rocks self. Has nice bubble-bath. Doesn't work. Dons football helmet and slams head against wall repeatedly...

Ah well. I will just keep repeating, "Well worth waiting for."
Will I be flogged for saying I'm not crazy about that cover art?
Yeah, a one-week delay ain't so bad. I just hope the "printing error" isn't something that costs DH a bunch of $.

As far as the cover, I think there are a few aspects of it that aren't a very good Buffy likeness, but as far as the art itself, I love every Jo Chen cover I've ever seen, this one too.
Ah well. I will just keep repeating, "Well worth waiting for."

If it's any help we may be having a little party around the 10th of March. Also on the 29th of June as well. These anniversaries do keep popping up.
An extra week for Life On Mars (no episode this week, damn football)

An extra week for Doctor Who (been put back a week from the long rumored and today revealed to be the planned launch of March 24th, again, damn football)

And now an extra week for Buffy.

Grrr... not the best of days.
I guess I can manage to wait the extra week, I'm just hoping they are printing a lot of copies, because I'm going to be wanting them all for me and a lot of my friends!
"I think that that kind of adversity builds character. Well, then I thought, I already have a lot of character. Is it possible to have too much character?"

Drat. I'll be on spring break on the original date; back to work on the 14th. I was really looking forward to having this as a highlight of my spring break. And April and I were planning on getting together to share a Buffy-reading/discussion/celebration session while wearing our "Joss Whedon is my Master Now" t-shirts. There are so few Whedon holidays these days. Double drat.*waves at April*
I am with you, Ghost Spike. Bloody football. And grr for the extra Buffywait.
Thanks Simon, that WILL help. :>)
Better let my sister know. She was getting herself all ready to walk into a "comic book store". No point in making her do it twice.
At least it won't be as late as the next issue of All Star Batman&Robin has been.lol
Aaaaaaaaargh.

(I was planning on getting a copy for someone who's flying out of the country on the 9th. Now I can't. Damn it.)
Grr. Argh.

Oh, well...I can wait...I can wait...

Whether or not I can wait without slamming my head against the wall and crying, well, that's another matter entirely.
You know, I really shouldn't be surprised or disappointed by the comic book industry and its complete lack of punctuality at this point, but I still am. At this rate, I might as well just make it a habit to wait for the graphic novels.
An extra week? I guess I can handle that.

DH probably needed more time to print tens of thousands of copies because they heard that I'm getting one, which means pretty soon every one else with good sense will want one too.
Another week? Now I'm going to have to make myself finish the next section of my DPhil before the comic comes out!
I suppose one week isn't too bad but I hope this doesn't continue for the rest of the series.
