NYTimes Letters Two thank you letters from Buffy fans for the article in the April 20th Arts & Leisure section - "Getting Buffy's Last Rites Right." Reg required

I'll post them here cause they're short and that way you don't have to register if you don't want.

Bold Vision

To the Editor:

Joyce Millman is not alone in having spent "an almost embarrassing amount of time, energy and thought" on every nuance of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its intricately wrought world ["Getting Buffy's Last Rites Right," April 20]. But that time was certainly well spent; her vision of our heroine's finale is appropriately bold and full of heart.

A Mature Fan

To the Editor:

Thanks for what will probably be your last homage to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." I am a 67-year-old man who agrees with Joyce Millman that Buffy is the "coolest television coming-of-age horror-fantasy-love story ever told," and I am grateful for seven (mostly) enjoyable seasons.

My "mature" (and post-mature) friends who grudingly admit that I was right about "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and "Clueless" would never give "Buffy" a try. Their loss.

Ha! Very cool. Can you imagine how many people would have got into it if it had just been called 'Slayer' or something?
Yeah, really. Its a shame that people judge a show just by its title and never even give it a chance.
