Cute. SMG, I mean.

Sadly the movie didn't live up to my expectations.

Best part of the movie by far was listening to someone telling SMG that they're sure Donny (hmm, sounds like Dawny) is taking care of everyone back home. Oh, I got a good giggle there.

I judge a movie by whether I'm entertained, not by whether it met up to any expectations I may have had, so I really enjoyed TMNT. I'll go watch this interview.

There's nothing wrong with Sarah doing voice work for a Turtles movie, no matter if Buffy was still on the air or not. It was an enjoyable movie.

I thought we all watched Buffy because of Joss Whedon? LOL, I am sorry, I just couldn't resist...

Nice interview, I liked the movie, but the ending felt a little tacked on and rushed. Did you guys who saw it think the same thing?

No, I didn't jerryst3161. Can't really tell you why, lol, but it worked for me and I thought it was fitting. They opened the door for a sequel, if anything it did it's job ;)

Yeah the part about shredder was interesting, but I was thinking more about the fight itself between the four monsters and the turtles, with April, Casey, and the footclan getting the last monster. I dont know, something just felt off about that, like it was rushed, or maybe I was just wanting for more who knows.

It's funny because I had very similar feelings when I watched Firefly/Serenity in relation to Joss giving up Buffy.
It all makes a little more sense now, obviously. IMO, both these great people were tired. Joss had been running THREE series and SMG had been working 20 hour days to get Buffy out there for 7 years. Everybody deserves a break.
I do mirror your feelings on missing Buffy despite the comics though. What I wouldn't give to view a new episode of Buffy.

Yes, the comics are way, way awesome. But I would have to compare it to the work the Beatles did after they broke up: good stuff and nice to have, but if they'd just get back together, even for just one show.......

Of course, nobody would be satisfied with just one show. So maybe it's better this way.

If Sarah can do a TURTLE movie, maybe she do a movie about a kick-ass vampire slayer named Buffy?

Sarah's been giving The Slayer the cold shoulder and I wanna know why. Has Buffy not been using her deodorant? Perhaps she's been spending too much time with vamp dust sprinkled all over her new leather jacket? Or, maybe wearing a sword and a stake is so out of style?

Heck, I miss Buffy but at the same time I am content with the fact that it was able to end without being axed and not too many rushed storyline developments. I've not even headed to the comics to get a Buffy fix.

I love SMG's work though never quite worked up the courage to watch The Grudge and I'm not bitter about anyone's need to move on creatively and/or for a career move. Everyone does it, it just so happens that perhaps 5% of the people on the planet do this in the public arena and get savaged for it in some way.

Back to the topic at hand, TMNT is a move that I want to watch purely for the fact that I watched every episode of the cartoon series in the 80's and then the live action movie that followed which was a disappointment. This new movie has tweaked enough interest in me to go watch it at the cinemas even though I do risk ranting about it in a somewhat negative fashion later.

I just hope it's worth the risk.

I don't see why people should begrudge SMG the opportunity to expand her career as she sees fit, just because Buffy is no longer on the air. It's been almost 4 years already, actors need to move on. And she's not only doing "Turtle" movies, SMG is getting to choose projects where she gets to try new things, whether that's traveling, working with up & coming directors, working with amazing casts or taking on different types of roles. I always thought that was the point of being an actor.

I can see what you mean, the fight at the end went pretty quickly. I'd have to see it again to really get a good idea if they rushed it or not.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, and that was my only complaint. I really did like the movie, the family dynamic and the Leo and Raph stuff were simply great, so thats that. I dont know, this isnt a real big deal to me cause the rest of the movie was so darn good.

quantumac...Did Joss write a Buffy script and approach SMG to reprise the role and I missed it? How can Sarah give Buffy the cold shoulder? Joss hasn't WRITTEN a Buffy movie for her to turn down.
Sarah Michelle Gellar has made a few comments about reprising the role and despite the negative slant others have tried to spin on her words...she said WITH a great script....WITH Joss writing it.
I don't think you can hold it against SMG, the actress who plays Buffy, that Joss hasn't made a move to do a big screen movie. As far as I can see, the ball remains firmly in Joss's court.
