Isn't "Runaways" supposed to be out this week too? Is there some kind of cross-marketing thing going on here to grab the Whedonites while we're in the store?

Hmm, I thought I might decide to wait for the TPB on the rest of season 8, but man, there is Willow on the cover, looking awesome --

Yeah, Willow's eyes are green. Either the blue-eyes thing is a mistake on the artist's part, or there's a story line behind it.

Tara's eyes were blue. Willow's way of remembering her lover, perhaps?

Actually, Willow's (or at least, Aly's) eyes are hazel - it's pretty easy to see in close-up shots, although they look green under certain lighting. Oddly enough (and I wonder if there's a connection,) I've noticed that the Sideshow 12" Willow figures also have blue eyes (but the description refers to her brown eyes!)

I promise I won't ask what color Willow's eyes are according to canon... ;-)

I think it's just comic-people being different from actor-people myself. Of course I am often wrong about these things, so time will tell on that one. It does seem to me that Dawn has gotten a little taller-- and I think that's a deliberate change. She's older now. She probably had a growth spurt in high school.

Hehee, Sunfire made me laugh. Thanks! Poor Dawnie. I bet it gets old hearing, "How's the weather up there?"

The comic book shop is expecting me Wednesday. I guess I'm not their typical customer because the counter guy gets excited when he sees me. You'd think he'd never heard of girls reading comic books.

Hey, thatweirdgirl: My comic book store guys already know me by name, but I'm not sure how many aged 50+ women they have with subscription boxes. I just got an e-mail from my store to all of their Buffy subscribers to let us know we can pick them up after 2pm on Wednesday. I'm excited!

LOVE the artist's interpretation of Willow, more than any other character so far. Especially in that first panel. Just beautiful.

Great stuff, I'm just disappointed that this isn't anything we didn't already see in Dark Horse's "Making Of" feature. I guess they actually want us to wait and to buy the thing, but whatev...

These are green.
These and these are variants of hazel (compare the second photo to the one of Aly.) They tend to change colors depending on the clothes worn, the type of lighting, and the predominant color in the surroundings. (And I can't believe I actually found an entry on Wikipedia to illustrate that....)
