Serenity Collector's Edition DVD gets release date.
According to the Universal website, it'll be out in the States on the 21st of August.
Though there's only minimal official details about it at the moment, Joss posted about the DVD extras back in March.

Still, something to look forward to. Hopefully details about the extras will be made official fairly soon.

You know, I've heard there may be some new key art on it...!
Anyone know of a proposed UK release date yet?

New key art ? Hmm, that always seemed a bit up in the air to me, I just wish we'd had some kind of emphatic confirmation. ;-).

And what a day of difference makes, I checked the website yesterday morning, and there was still no news, and today it changed.
Wonder if we`ll get more llamas in the cover art.... kidding. I`m really wondering what will be the cover art for this release.
What I also find to be interesting, that it'll be in Digipack package. Don`t know about the previous Region 1 or 2 releases, but the two Region 4 DVDs I own (an Aussie double-disk and a Brazilian single-disk) were all in Amaray package. I don`t know why but digipack packages tend to look cooler on the shelf, somehow. Last weekend I was just comparing how the Pirates of the Caribeean (yes, I am a fan of some Jerry Bruckheimer / Johnny Depp blockbuster action) looked different, as "Curse of the Black Pear" was in one of those old black amaray packages, while "Dead Man's Chest" was in a pretty Digipack package.
I doubt it`ll will get a release here in Brazil, so I'll definetely import a copy from the US.

Under normal circumstances, we probably would have double-posted, but that's when I was at Kinko's making packets of charity screening promotinal crap to go to local comics shops before tomorrow. Heh.
(At least I was off doing something Browncoaty when I missed this.)

And what about of this release.
It doesn't matter that much, but I just found out our local Uni recently made our local release of Serenity cheaper, It's like half the price, compared to when I bought it.
