Impatient? You can now pre-order the 'Serenity' collector's edition DVD. When it was posted here the other day that a 21 August release date had been set for the Serenity Collector's Edition DVD, many posters noted the pre-order link didn't work. It does now, with a listed shipping date of 19 August.

Meanwhile, a commenter on the earlier thread posted what appeared on DVD Talk's forums purporting to be the list of special features (it appears to be a combination of the US features, the Australian features, the new cast commentary, and the R. Tam Sessions), although I don't know if the list is confirmed.

As a side note, it seems to only work for US and possibly Canadian costumers.
Didn't find option for pre-order from outside of the North America.

Erm, yes it does. It goes https when it asks for shipping/billing addresses and contact info, and it remains https when it asks for credit card information, and it remains https when it goes to the receipt page.

I confess that I was also happy to pay slightly more to have Universal see that there are fans who are still all over this! I can't believe that there is a Fantasic 4 sequel (that did not do very good in the box office), but we can't get one for Serenity!

It made $330,000,000 worldwide at the box office. Serenity took in just over a tenth of that (going by what Box Office Mojo says).

Both of which are properties which have very longstanding recognition, so it might not be fair to directly compare these properties to Serenity.

Setting aside the unfortunate imagery that first part brings up, that board is not the same as the old board. In fact, except for what was frantically rescued, the UB no longer exists in any form. The once-called "gossiboard" was the replacement, but it was built fresh, from zero.

Maybe I should have said Universal let him have the URL name? Universal could not let him have the members list because of privacy issues. There was a link to that archive for a very long time there but gossi had to take it down disk space I think.
I bet he still has a backup of it somewhere.

I think the Universal let the Aussie Browncoats have their URL name too.

The UB was at serenitymovie.com, which still exists. The replacement boards are at the serenitymovie.org domain. (What they DID do was point the "join the Browncoats" link on serenitymovie.com to the replacement boards.)
