Boreanaz's "Bones" Season 2 DVD gets a release date and an interestingly named featurette. This DVD set will include commentary from David as well as the gag reels from both season 1 & 2. Also a featurette titled "The Angelator", can't wait to see what that one is about. The release date is set for Sept 11th this year.

I assume "The Angelator" refers to the essentially magic machine Angela uses to reconstruct bodies and crime scenes.
KernalM, you are correct. I have heard Kathy Reichs say that everything on Bones is available, state-of-the-art, technology. I would like to hear that specifically about the Angelator. It is really neat, however. I especially liked Angela's christmas tree.

The one problem I have with the show is that whenever they manipulate images on their computer, like zooming in on an image, it makes a buzzing sound that interferes with the audio. I've never seen that on a TV show before, and I watch several crime shows. None as good as Bones, IMO, though I like NCIS pretty well also.

This date for the DVD release is much earlier than season 1 came out, probably because the show is doing better. The second half of the season it consistently pulled in a little over 10 million viewers each week. I'm so looking forward to the DVD's, and even more, to Season 3.

Really? I've never noticed that.

ETA There was a similar audio issue mentioned with the Dresden Files - turns out it originated with the SciFi broadcast. The Canadian channel that aired the show had clear audio. I've never noticed an audio problem with the Canadian broadcast of Bones either.

I've been noticing that every episode has one or two blips in the audio but never realized what the problem was. That's weird. I hope they fix it.
I'm glad this set will be six disks instead of four flipper disks like season 1 was.

Really? Funny, cause our local R4 release for the first season was a standard 6 disk box set.
