Also, if we're up to 23 in AXM and only 28 in Runways, it looks like the former is ahead of schedule, and the latter behind.

And, not to squeeze in too much non-Whedon Marvel content, but I can't decide whether I'm more amused that "Iron Man goes to Omaha" is a plotline, or that there's an "Essential Dazzler" collection.

Weird. Not you, you're not the only one I've seen post this. I just immediately thought Xavin and Karolina.

(Also in the solicits is the latest issue of Karl 'Fray' Moline's book Loners, by the way. Can anyone identify the movie poster that book's cover homages? It's on the tip of my tongue, I swear.)

Well, the boy doesn't look like Xavin -- though of course Xavin can look like anything, but the complexion looks like Victor.

AXM: 21=May, 22=July, 23=August.
Runaways: 26=May, 28=August, so 27 would have to be June or July.
Could be they are staggering the Joss books to have one in each month?

I believe Runaways #27 ships last week of June, then nothing in July, and #28 on Aug. 8, so that's not slipping too badly.

But AXM ahead of schedule? That I just don't see, since it was supposed to be monthly now (and let's face it, finished). :-(

Well, ahead of the two-month schedule they had apparently gone back to. I'm not sure "schedule" actually applies to this book, though.

*shrugs*

It seems so far out of continuity with everything else, that there's no point in complaining.

The boy does seem to be Victor. And in the last two issues, they kept showing an old woman somehow connected to the Runaways -- maybe the girl on the cover is the same woman?

ETA: And I just thought of something...I'm trade waiting New and Mighty Avengers, so don't know too much except that apparently Ultron is back, and he/it is now a she.

So when will Victor find out he has two mommies?
