Can't Stop The Serenity screenings. With under a month to go till the charity events kick off, here's a reminder of which cities are showing Serenity around the time of Joss' birthday. Proceeds from these screenings will go to benefit Equality Now.

Still awesome that people are getting together and doing some good. I'm so bummed that I will be out of town and they won't have a showing where I am going. maybe i will bring my copy of Serenity and hope to find a dvd player to have my own little showing
Cleveland still doesn't have an exact date or venue set...which worries me...
Two of my good friends that helped me with last years shindig are going to miss our screening this year.

Am I bummed for them? No.

Because they are going to the one in fraking DUBLIN! Tamara, please bring me a tee shirt.
I'm pretty excited for this year's, Jane Espenson and Cedric of the Bedlam Bards will be at ours in Dallas!
UnpluggedCrazy, I'm still worried about the Tampa screening, too. I guess... we still have a month.
Tickets for New York City and Brooklyn NY will be going on sale shortly. Our guest will be the president of Equality Now.
One month!

*head explodes*
Sweet! I didn't know there was going to be one in Arlington. This is worth venturing into NoVa for.
Pardon my thread-jacking (somebody please reprimand me!), but I didn't think this deserves it's own thread, but wanted to mention:

E's Wanda-Kristin called Lost's Charlie character a BDH, and I don't know what to think.
Los Angeles is on sale as of 24 hours ago. 50 tix sold already. If you are in the area, or know someone who is that will want to attend, send them to www.socalbrowncoats.com.

We really want to get as many people as possible who haven't seen the movie on the big screen, or at all. So bring plenty of friends and family.
Look at all those (on sale)! B!X, do you remember if any were on sale one month out last year?

Yes.
Oh cool! I'll be in Portland that weekend. Wonder if I can get my mom to go with me...
It's really awesome that people around the world (and even in my hometown of Paris!) are getting together to actually do something. And what a better way to start summer?

Are there any other new yorkers here planning to go on Sunday 24th?

FYI, the Buffy Sing-a-Long, completely coincidentally, is in town that weekend as well. (About which, actually, I hope to have something of an announcement soonish.) Their shows are at midnight, so everyone should easily be able to do both things. Especially if you buy your CSTS tickets in advance, so you don't have to worry about having the money for both things on the weekend itself.

Thanks for the Buffy info. Just not sure if I can get my mom & niece interested in either. I'm up there to visit them. Shame San Diego isn't having a showing this year.
We almost, almost have sold enough tickets to cover our rental costs here in Toronto. What I really really want to do is sell all 400 tickets.
Except for those seats rightupclosetothescreen.
Just bought my ticket for the Edmonton showing. Wonder if Captain Mal (who said he was going to spend some time up here over the summer) might stop by?

Whoo-hoo! Go Canada!
Before this leaves the front page: Radio pimpage (mp3) of our Portland screenings on a popular evening radio program here. It will be flogged every week on Fridays.
