Highlights from the last ever Buffy and Angel magazine.
Read a snippet of Joss' farewell message and goodbyes in full from the likes of James Leary and Camdem Toy.

In related news (in the sense of Buffy themed things coming to an end), I noticed today that the Buffyverse Music Video Database is near to being closed down. The current owners are looking to move on and if nobody is found to take over then the site will be no more. One more Buffy and Angel site bites the dust, it seems.
I'm still not able to post on the front page yet but if this is news worthy of a thread of it's own and anyone wants to add it then feel free to do so. It would be good if the word got around and a new owner could be found. I'm no vidder myself and I have no clue when it comes to running websites in general, wouldn't know where to begin in fact, but I do enjoy seeing what others can do and that has always been a very good resource. Hopefully it can be saved.

Was hoping for an announcment of Angel Season 6 comics, but was probably too announced too late for them to cover it. Oh Well.

I intended to chat with Chris Ryall for the following issue, but we found out the last B/A Mag was going to be the last one ever pretty quickly and at that time, IDW was still just casually chatting with Joss about ideas - nothing much to report.

This kind of story it's kind of sad, and always reminds me of Caroline telling how whedonesque came late into the game.

for financial reasons I rarely bought any issues in the past two years, but I bought this one and the one before it, largely due to the cancellation.
There'sa thread on this at Essence of Amber; I mentioned there that really this was obviously inevitable. Even tho i don't have aTV and it's impratcical to go to the movies where i live, I was certainly interested in articles on what the actors and writers are up to and I'm sure so were many others but really, look at the numbers.
Say about 25 major core performers betwene BtVS and Angel and an equal number of featured players. They are no longer working together, the properties they are currently working on (the majority from among them who are working, soem aren't) are of a great variety and only a certain percentage "genre," and only about half a dozen of them are "anme" eprformers tot he public at large.
It just isn't plausible to think that a large enough number of people are going to be fans of a high enough number of the featured celebs to support a magazine.
But it was a great time while it lasted;I recall the first issue I bought (in spring or summer of '02) had an article on thsoe who had died and perdictions on whetehr we'd see them again. I couldn't buy the rpedictions but I liked the article.
