His voice - even when it flats painfully - makes me tear up. (Although his voice is fine once it warms up and he's more relaxed. ) It's so frakkin' sincere.

It does have a certain charm. Maybe it's the charm of earnestness. And I like "I am a leaf on the wind" as a refrain.
