... but there she does have the tendency to get a bit self-righteous and arrogant.
I dunno though, if you take out the season 7 stuff post "Bring on the Night" (probably her last 'proper' motivating speech before "Here's where you have a choice ...") i.e. all the times Buffy's meant to have gone down the wrong path and to seem arrogant and self-righteous (as well as pompous, autocratic, callous and often wrong) I don't think she's really that bad.
I mean, when you are almost always right and almost always the best then maybe it's not self-righteous arrogance, maybe it's just factual accuracy ;).
