J. August Richards in new legal drama from Steven Bochco. The series is to air on TNT, "the untitled project revolves around young lawyers who have been friends since law school but now work on opposing sides."

Whoever pitched the idea of Gunn turning into a lawyer in Angel gave J a great career opportunity. So, you know, well done.
I really enjoyed Conviction. Yay for J, hopefully this one will be just as good if not better. J is such a fantastic actor!
Man, that Wolfram & Hart upgrade REALLY stuck didn't it?

Great news for J, and congrats... but do we seriously need another lawyer show? I think a forensic procedural would be better. We don't have nearly enough of those.
Congratulations to J !
I just hope they don't forget he can play characters other than lawyers. lol

Love's, I'm just happy to see a brother get an acting gig that's not playing a thug/gangbanger or Huggy Bear.
And just because you're playing a lawyer doesn't mean you're just going to be in a courtroom being all lawyerish all the time. (Not if the writers are doing their job.)
Lawyer (like doctor, teacher, PI, cop, etc) is a profession. Not a personality.
Besides, J can really rock a suit and tie! ; )
