6 Movies That Should Be Made and the Directors Who Should Make Them. #6: Joss Whedon directing Runaways.

Quite simply, no. If anything, Runaways must become a television show. This must happen. But never a movie. Never just 2 hours of my time. I need seasons upon seasons of Runaways goodness, preferably helmed by Joss, but I wouldn't mind BKV helming it either. Or the superteam of both. But not a movie.
Why would anyone want Michael Bay to direct anything?

No way, BKV would have to helm. It is, after all, his baby. And as fun as Joss's couple of issues have been they're not as good as BKV's first couple of issues--of either volume.
BKV screenwrite, Joss direct :)

I'm ashamed to say that I did somewhat enjoy Armageddon and Pearl Harbor (that's as far as I'd go Michael Bay-wise), but I have to agree with your statement.

Traffic maybe ? ;-)

I actually didn't mind 'Armageddon' or 'Transformers' in a leave brain at door, popcorn flick stylee though you sometimes get the impression with his stuff that the script had the potential to be fairly clever, before he arrived on the scene - 'The Island' struck me that way to some extent. Apart from the creeping mediocrity aspect, his films are generally fairly harmless and often have a sense of humour - as well as a seemingly obligatory motorway car-chase and music loud enough to deafen the staunchest rock fan ;).

That might have been an amusing answer if my first thought wasn't "Steven Soderbergh directed that movie quite well already" :-)
If Joss and BKV co-helmed Runaways as a show, it would probably be one of the best television experiences ever.
