I've actually become a bit of Supernatural fan recently (having bought and watched season 1 & 2 on DVD). The show has an impressive visual style and some fantastic music. The acting is pretty good to boot and the characters are compelling (I'm head over heels for Dean at the moment). But I've always thought the writing could be better. One of my chief complaints is the show's depiction of vampires (2 episodes so far). I don't know how they did it but they actually managed to make vampires boring. I hope this won't be the case with the upcoming McNab episode. I'm sure she'll playing a vampire who is a complete 180 from the character of Harmony (so no worries on that front). Maybe I've just been spoiled by Joss but I expect so much more from the undead and fangy.

YAY! The more Buffy guest stars the merrier. I think Kripke's goal needs to be to get every main female cast member he can on the series. Next up? Emma Caulfield please!

I love, love, LOVE this show. I've been with it since day one and it's pretty much become equal to what the height of my Buffy fandom craze used to be. And I actually really liked how the did vamps. It was different and NOT what we normally see. It was like...they viewed themselves just as trying to survive, just like everyone else. And it wasn't the cliched no sun, no holy water, but dead man's blood, which I thought was neat.

Well, yes, a vampire with a totally different personality wouldn't be typecasting anymore than playing two humans would be, when you think about it.

Admittedly, as much as I "lurve" her, I don't know much about Mercedes's range; the only other things I've seen her in were The Addams Family (Harmony as 10 year old) and Walker Texas Ranger (Harmony as nice person) so any of you folks who've seen Escape from Atlantis Beer Money or her ep. on Dawson's Creek are ahead of me.

Too bad I don't have a TV, or maybe not...perhaps later in the year we'd find out her character ahs joined the nest run by Amber Benson 's character and seeing both my goddesses in one scene would be a bit much for my 50+ ticker *grin.
