Webcomic character uses 'Firefly' as seduction ploy, fails. Hints are not taken in the first page of JLongo's "This American Strife."

I don't get it. Is the joke how much of a moron the guy is? 'Cause if it is, its not funny, just sad.
I dunno, seems like a whimsical "slice of life" type of deal.

Over here there was a 90s sketch show with a riff about a guy that always says the wrong thing just before "closing the deal" - the punchline was "Oh no, I've just blown a definite shag", this strikes me as a similar sort of deal.

It's more like "there but for the grace of God ..." than "What a moron".
Not so sure about that, Saje. The guy just passed up not only a Firefly episode, which is bad enough in itself, but an almost certain roll in the sack too.

"What a moron" seems pretty accurate to me. ;)
OK, if it was "Out of Gas" then that would probably tip the balance - if she has a big-screen TV too then "what a moron" doesn't even begin to cover it ;).
Hehe, yeah, and HD tempts me into a girl's bedroom every single time. No HD, I just walk away.

Riiight! ;)
