Buffy Collector's Set $94.99 at Amazon.com today! It's the Gold Box Deal of the Day.

I won't mention how much i paid for my set....

Well that was a ridiculously easy purchase.

eta....and I just broke my DVD-buying embargo due to the strike. oops.

Get it quick as when Amazon did the same gold box offer back in April the Buffy boxset sold out in a matter of hours.
I got one.
And I didn't even need it.

But for that price-whatever.

Merry Christmas from me...to me!
If I had the money, I'd buy it even though I already have all the DVD sets... I've always wanted the Buffy set. *sigh* oh well. I still have my eyes on the Angel set, though lol
Yes! I've been waiting for this since the last time it was on sale and I missed it because I was at work while they sold out :/
Merry Christmas/Happy Birthday to me!

Now let's get the Angel DVD set on sale, and we'll be 5 by 5
Is it worth getting it if I'm a UK resident? I'm not really up to date with the latest in DVD technology... I was thinking of waiting for the Buffy and Angel R2 prices to fall back to the price they were at a couple of weeks ago (grr!) and get them then (probably after Christmas, I reckon).

Well, this has the extra extras disc daylight, so far none of the UK sets have had that (though the Angel R1 and R2 sets are basically the same AFAIK).

If your DVD player handles R1 OK and you're not bothered about having the later seasons in the (UK DVD) widescreen format (Joss has stated that he specifically designed the shots for a 4:3 or "fullscreen" aspect ratio and that widescreen is not how he intended Buffy to be seen) then this may be a good deal, especially given the exchange rate.

I bought it last time round and am happy enough with it (like having the same style packaging for both the Buffy and Angel sets though i've not watched the extra disc yet, could be pretty pointless).
FWIW, I have the Chosen Collection, and the extras disc wasn't anything too special, certainly not worth buying the whole set over again if you already have it, even at this price.
I only have four of the seasons, so to buy the rest of them would amount to being about $90...what's another 5 to get the full set? Then I can sell the seasons I already have.
