1st Annual Reenactment of the Battle of Serenity Valley! Charity EmanciPET will receive 40% of all proceeds.

Someone needs to do this somewhere that I'm close enough to to attend. Vancouver Browncoats?
Vancouver Browncoats?

Here is one Vancouver, British Columbia Browncoat:

Unless you meant Vancouver,WA, then that would be this group

You know, if I lived in America, I don't think I'd ever get to work. One weekend I'd be in L.A. for ME-Day, and the next I'd be driving to Texas...

Do Aussie browncoats do things like this?
Not that I really want to be a "Negative Nancy," but calling this the "1st Annual" just sets off all of my logic alarm bells. You know, like, how do you know this is the first annual event when the second one, which should be a year from now, hasn't happened yet? And what happens if it doesn't?*

On the other hand, it is just a few hours down the road. So I may go. Assuming, that is, that I have all the work I need to do done by then. Just when I thought I wouldn't have a good incentive, it is!

* The universe ends. And Ro-Man comes stumbling out of a cave. Three times in a row.
When I saw this, I immediately thought of the Monty Python skit about the women's group recreating various famous battles, by rolling around wrestling in a muddy field in their Sunday dresses.

Oh, and the Vancouver Browncoats being referenced are :

With just under 300 members, we are the largest Browncoats group on Meetup, just ahead of Seattle. We typically describe ourselves as BC Browncoats:

I don't think we've ever done a laser tag shindig, though it has been suggested.
This would be awesome were I in Texas.
Rochester Browncoats? Anybody?
Now this *really* makes me want to move to Austin.
